Port Vale manager John Askey says his new frontline is “better” than last season’s line-up.
Tom Pope apart, the Valiants struggled for goals last season and after releasing Ricky Miller, Dan Turner, Dior Angus and Danny Elliott, Askey has brought in Mark Cullen, Richie Bennett and David Amoo.
Askey told the official Port Vale website: “I think we are better off than we were last season. You can see Cullen’s movement is good, and Richie has goals in this league so I think we are stronger.
