  1. I’ll get my tin hat on for this one. It’s time she kopped the majority of blame here. She bought the club debt free. And as Vale fans we were overjoyed after the last crook. However the last 18 months have been shambolic. As fans I hear, yeah the academy are doing good. We will get millions for him and him. We have sold this lad to Man City for hundreds of thousands. Etc. Etc. Bearing in mind as supporters we don’t see that money. So isn’t it right to question why we are almost 10 million in debt when she bought it debt free? The bread and butter. The football. It’s garbage. With garbage footballers. Shes also had 4 managers now in her short tenure. And I dare say the latest one won’t last long. Shes divided a fanbase with her cringeworthy backing of a man who was intent on ruining Port Vale. David Flitcroft. And only sacked him after a group of fans had to give her head a wobble. The laughs and jokes and arrogance as Flitcroft announced that relegation wasn’t in his vocabulary. Followed by the cringe distraction of “El Presidente”. Probably for her and his ego. The Valiant Suite talk about how people she met 5 minutes ago told her our players are phenomenal and we won’t go down. She was very quick to go on radio and tv across the country when it went good. Then sunk back into her shell, apart from the most pathetic open letter I’ve ever read, when she more or less slagged off her fanbase. Those that loved her. In support for one crook. Sorry Carol. The time has come to break your silence. The last 18 months has been an absolute disaster. And the repercussions will carry on because that debt isn’t good, the players are garbage, the manager is looking like a dear in the headlights, and the fans are well and truly demoralized with the whole debacle. The buck stops at the top. Before any idiot says “Who do you want to buy us”, I’m not saying she should sell. My point is that her decisions, as owner of this football club, have got us into this financial mess and on the pitch it’s an absolute disgrace. The worst Vale team I’ve seen in 40 plus years. And if it was Smurthwaite at the helm, going through all of this, you’d all be raging. She needs to be accountable for her actions.

  2. On 1st January we were 15th in the league with 29 points from 23 games. Exeter were 4th bottom with 23 points. We signed 5 players none of whom started today and none of whom are league one standard. Exeter signed 4 players and 2 of them scored 3 of their goals today. If anyone thinks our position is down to anything other than completely sh*** recruitment then they must be mad. Each transfer window we have rebuilt with polystyrene instead of bricks. And we seem to have spent a ludicrous amount of money in doing so. Moore makes mistakes but he has inherited a squad that is lacking in balance, bottle and balls. That's all.

  3. Gutless. Cowards. Pathetic. And I’m not just on about the shameful players on that pitch. If we win together and lose together then the whole club should hang their heads tonight. In my 44 years on this planet, I’ve never seen a worse 45 minutes on a football pitch. Disgusted. We deserve to go down. Carol needs to hang her head in shame with her decisions throughout the last 18 months. Those players, who go crying to her because some podcast is slating them, need to get some thick skin because as a collective they are absolutely pathetic. Bez on his podcast is right. Bottlejobs. The lot of them. That 2nd half was disgusting. Darren Moore. What the <ovf censored> have you said at half time?!!!!! I’ve had the mans back but that is criminal to defend a 2-0 lead. League 2 next season. 9 million in debt. Dogshit players. Signed a lad from the USA 2nd division for the remainder of the season who can’t get in the squad with 4 games to go! Seriously. If this was under Smurthwaite we would be raging! The buck stops at the top. The decisions that have been made have been nothing short of a disgrace. Owner. Manager. Coaching Staff. Players. Today. As representatives of Port Vale Football Club, you’re an absolute disgrace.

  4. I clapped. I told them to get their heads up and go again Saturday. I did it because as fans we have nothing else left we can do. These players are the only ones who can get us out of this. We've got two massive games on Saturday and Tuesday. We need to stay behind them until the end now. Giving them a round of <ovf censored> and booing them will do nowt. Showing them we're backing them just might. Give the players/the club/the recruitment team etc... both barrels if we do go down. Anyone who knows me will tell you that if I don't think they're putting it in, I'll let them know. But right now the only option as fans is giving every bit of support we can (even if it looks like the players aren't). At least we've done our bit then.

  6. We have had Uche and Loft on for almost all of the match and all I’ve seen from them is be deep or trying to win headers. Not one of them have sat on the last man. The defence is dreadful. You know Debrah and Iacovitti are bad when they’re worse than Nathan Smith. The midfield are clueless. Garrity apart. The tactics and formation, well I honestly couldn’t tell you what it was. No focal point up front. Garbage at the back. No quality in the middle. No structure. No fight. No hope. When our relegation is confirmed on Saturday, it’s gonna take a strange kind of human to turn up against Cambridge, at 12.30 on a Saturday, to watch the most hopeless, inept, gutless, pathetic, clueless, classless, dreadful, Port Vale we have had for arguably decades. Carol should sit down tonight and re read her open letter. Fans are rarely wrong. Money spunked in the wrong areas. Cheap appointment in Crosby. Stupidly holding on to Flitcroft for way too long. Signing “nice” guys and kids. Signing a squad with no balance. Trust the process crap. And unbelievably we keep employing more and more staff to areas of the club which, quite frankly, fans could give two twats about. An absolute <ovf censored> show a “football” club. Football being the operative word. Because that’s ultimately all that the fans care about. The football. And Carol alignment with David has caused this absolute shower. League 2 awaits and with this shower and no leadership, god only knows where we will be this time next season. Shambolic.

  7. I haven't read the whole thread so apologies for that. If I put myself into Carols position right now, I would be really struggling emotionally and mentally. Carol had total trust in Dave Flitcroft and he has only been gone for a very short time. I would imagine there is some sort of grieving process she is going through. The video that was recorded of her in the Valiant Suite and then put online has effected her trust in how things are perceived. She will feel that everything she says will be used against her and that leaves her in a very isolated and difficult position when it comes to communication. It was very naïve of her to do what she did in front of paying fans, they are not trusted friends. However, publishing a video of somebody clearly distressed is a pretty awful thing to do and most of us would have been absolutely devastated by it. We feel like we do about the situation as fans, imagine having invested millions and ending up back at square one, how would you feel? Yes there is plenty that Carol herself has done wrong, not least trusting the former DoF, but even if it is her fault she is still a person who needs to come to terms with it all. I am prepared to give her next season. The Shanahan's have the very best interests of the club at heart, even if they are getting it wrong at the moment in various areas. Lets just remember that whilst its ok to criticise what's happened, its not ok to criticise Carol as a person. She probably needs more support right now than ever before.

  8. This is how I feel about Carol. Insulted. My son and I have STs. It's a pain to get to home games as I have an elderly relative who is very ill and due to working Monday-Friday,Saturday is the only time to visit. To commit to the team I run round to make it to the game. On Tuesdays we have to shop so it's a similar routine. Wolf some food down and rush to the game. Carol appointed Flitcroft. The decision to move home fans to the Hamil would have gone ahead anyway, with or without a vote. Carol is overheard saying our players are phenomenal. Flitcroft says publicly he hasn't considered relegation. Carol sacks the manager after the January window. Carol lets Flitcroft go. Carol appoints Moore,on a 5 year deal. Carol oversees the El Presidente fiasco. Carol sends a snotty condescending letter to the fans. All these things, and more, have happened whilst she is the owner. That's me done. I won't be running round like an idiot on Tuesdays and Saturdays. She doesn't deserve people to do this, whilst she seems to think burying her head in the sand is the answer. I will look for the results but I feel absolutely empty after yesterday. The team have lost 24 home games out of 43 in this division. Iacovitti said pre match that when the crowd gets going it frightens the opposition. Does it? I don't think so. Carol needs to apologise for mistake after mistake after mistake. I admire the diehard fans who will watch Vale whatever division they are in,but for me, yesterday was the final straw. I haven't enjoyed being in this division watching the team lose every other week. It's depressing. The only person who thinks they are doing a good job is Carol.

  9. The players just not good enough to play in League One. That’s the bottom line. We’ve snatched defeat from the jaws of victory in numerous games. We deserve to go down. We deserve better as fans. I’ll say it again - Carol has let this happen.

  11. I’ve previously posted on here over the years as I’ve actually got a lot of time for Vale, so thought I’d drop in again today for obvious reasons, but I know now isn’t the time to gloat or even to make light of anything (I’m an Exeter fan). Yesterday was a classic game of two halves - first half you were strong and we were poor, you won the first and second balls, you played with purpose and pace and your unit up top was battering us. Second half we stepped up and you just looked like a completely different team, it was bizarre. I thought we played great second half, we dominated possession, were aggressive out of possession, passed the ball around nicely and scored three good goals and a deflection. A big turning point was Moore taking off your big striker, we coped easily with everything else you had (although to be fair we were managing him a lot better in the second half than we had in the first). Keep the faith though, a win on Tuesday and you’ll feel a lot better. It’ll be tough at Bolton of course but then the Cambridge game could easily be one of the great games as you win to stay up. I hope you do - good luck.

  12. Just got back home after driving back to Somerset. Haven't read the thread but I will give my opinion of what I saw today. First half well worth the 2 goal lead without playing particularly well but didn't have to because Exeter were toothless in attack and Vale were on the front foot. Second half started and alarm bells started to ring straight away. In their first attack Exeter almost scored but were only denied a goal by Ripley pulling off a fine reflex save. From the on it was very much one way traffic towards the Vale goal. Vale seemed to sit back and try to protect their lead with the almost inevitable consequence of conceeeding goals. We got battered second half with weakness at full back being exploited ruthlessly. Their keeper had nothing to do second half, Vale's only shot hitting the Hamil Rd stand roof And what genius tactical plan did the manager come up with. He took Uche off and replaced him with Jensen Weir. So up front we had no physical presence to occupy the Exeter central defenders. Today we witnessed the recruitment shortcomings of this season. Exeter playing poorly made substitutions that altered the course of the game and improved significantly. Vale had nobody on the bench that was capable of turning the game back in our favour. Relegation now beckons and it will be deserved on that performance and many others this season.

  13. The second half was absolutely horrendous. From the second the teams came out, with two changes made from their side, it was complete dominance for Exeter. Woods began to run things and we never had any concerted possession of the ball. Moore was completely outwitted by Caldwell. His subs were appalling. Weir up front with Dipepa at 2-1 left us with no outlet at all - if Uche had to go off, Loft was the sub. The lack of change between 2-1 and 2-4 was startling. Incredibly passive with no effort to take a hold on things. The lack of leadership within the squad was stark. The heads-down trudge at 2-2 spoke volumes. Not a single rallying cry. Only Chislett looked bothered as the game went on. The microcosm of the players mentality could be witnessed at the end, for the 100 daft enough to stay. Moore scarpered immediately. The players sort of milled around in the centre circle, bereft of leadership. Uche convinced them to go and clap the fans. They trudged round to silence and a few boos, and then Uche starting having a very aggressive debate with a fan. He had to be pulled away perhaps 5 times, returning time and again like a petulant child. Completely unedifying. This was coming. I gave up at Derby, then gave myself belief when Flitcroft went and we beat Burton. I wanted to get behind them again. Fundamentally this is a very, verypoor squad with a very poor character blend, lacking heart and courage in key moments. Letting 2 goal leads slip at Vale Park has killed us. We have to look at Moore, unfortunately. Yes, the squad is poor, but 2 wins from 15 with a pretty decent run of fixtures is awful and makes Crosby’s record look decent. He will go into League 2 with a poor record, an unconvinced fanbase, and a squad pretty similar to now - all damaged by a relegation, a poor relationship with fans, and dreadful runs of form - it must be 2 wins in nearly 25 now. I imagine relegation will be sealed at Bolton. Relegation to League 2 isn’t apocalyptic, and Carol will continue to pick up the tab to keep us existing - I hope. However, she needs to reflect on what has been an awful two years since promotion, a completely squandered opportunity. Decision-making has been poor, at best. It’s going to have to improve relatively soon or we’ll have bigger problems then losing 3M a year. We’ll all turn up against next year, but this feels particularly damaging - I think we all felt a new era had dawned at Wembley. Feels now like a brief distraction from more of the same.

  14. First sign of failure. I get that. January window last year. We nearly went down. Second sign of failure. August window. Still no striker. Hello. Massive red flag. That was the point he gets sacked. Third sign of failure. This January. Nothing changed. No improvement. Ridiculous recruitment. Now the blokes job is untenable. Febraury comes and she lauds the bloke like he’s the second coming!! Tell me I’m wrong. Shes <ovf censored> up.

  15. Agree to an extent. Carol's got the club at heart and is a brilliant owner in terms of intentions. We'll always have a club with her at the helm. But. But. She's seriously neglected the first team at the expense of everything else and has swallowed too much of everyone else's bull. A season back in League Two might actually help her/us refocus on what the main priority actually is. How many Vale fans would swap the big screen and fancy restaurant for 10 more points this season? Virtually everyone I'd imagine.

  16. “We would like to place on record our sincere appreciation to Colin for his support and commitment, especially in the early days when we purchased the club, during which time his football administration knowledge, understanding of the industry and experience was invaluable to us. “Colin is a good man, a friend and somebody we will always be grateful to for his advice and guidance when we became custodians in 2019. Colin and his family will always be welcome back at Vale Park and we wish both Colin and his family well in the future. “I am really excited about the leadership team we have built and the plans we have in place, initially in the short-term in what will be our first full close season since we became custodians, and then also in the longer-term as we continue to grow and improve to fulfil the objective of becoming a Championship ready club, on and off the pitch. “We will communicate further details on the new leadership group in the coming days and weeks. Clearly, it was important to us that we showed our gratitude to Colin and informed Vale supporters of the changes before Colin leaves us.” On behalf of the staff and supporters, Port Vale Football Club would like to place on record its appreciation to Colin for his contribution and service to the club. We wish him and his family all the very best for the future. Colin will also leave his role as a Trustee of the Port Vale Foundation. This weekend, Colin will be at Vale Park for his final match at the club in an official capacity and will be on the pitch at half-time to receive thanks from staff and supporters for his dedication during his time at the club. ………………………………………………………… This was announced on Friday 31st March last year. The man had 24 hours to then say a goodbye. No notice. Just basically get gone. That was the statement. This was two weeks before sacking Darrell Clarke as well. 13 months down the line and it’s been a catastrophic error of judgement, or just a sheer power trip. You don’t do 7 years service at a football club, get advertised you’re gone on the Friday, say your goodbyes on the Saturday and never to be heard of again. Make of it all what you will but critical think these things. It’s why “we are where we are”.

  18. The hard truth about today as far as I'm concerned is we scored a deflected goal and their keeper had a mare for the second, they changed things around at half time and we didn't have a clue, not a scooby,it was obvious after 5 minutes of the 2nd half they would score but not 4. The substitutions were bizarre, surely Loft on for Uche, there again I didn't see Loft he was missing for the half time kick around and I couldn't see him on the bench, was he even there ? Weir on for Uche rendered our forward line redundant, if I had known that Dipeppa and Weir would have been our forward line during one of our most important games of the season I would have thought you were off your rocker. I feel as though we have given our place in the 1st division away cheaply, starting off 7 zip in August, building a side round loan players and injury ridden journeymen and no strikers then going on to playing with no passion or commitment is unforgivable for me, the decision to leave Crosby in position for so long was unforgivable and not having a proper recruitment process in place to replace him was also unforgivable. Next season will be no easier, we don't have a nucleus of a good side, to many of the current team are bottlers but are under contract next season, we had the basis of a solid 1st division side when we left Wembley 2 years ago, we are nowhere near that standard tonight.

  20. My two pence. I think anyone seriously calling for Carol's head really really needs to take a long hard look at where we were under Smurf and where we are now. On the pitch it's absolutely garbage, Carol is not a football expert and employed an absolute ball bag to oversee football operations who spent loads of money on terrible players and terrible managers. The only fault I place at her door is that she was too loyal both to flickdick and Crosby (although in hindsight what could he do with the utter maggots in the squad we've got). Off the pitch, we've got toilet issues, but we've also got a lot of positive stuff going on. The Academy is flying, due to competent people being put in place to run it in will ryder. Toilets aside we are making improvements in our facilities year on year. She's not perfect, but the accounts alone show that we are absolutely indebted to her both for positive cash flow and for saving us from Smurfs greedy mits. Were all angry right now, she put our squad building in the hands of a charlatan and he's delivered a relegation for us. But be careful what you wish for trying to chase her out.

  21. One of the top 2/3 most important signings for L2 next season will be a new Captain. I've just been reading loads of player signing press releases from this season and there's so much emphasis dedicated to gushing over how nice they are. It's <ovf censored> pathetic. Lopata got shoved face first into an advertising board at Cheltenham away, the dossers just watched unbothered. Yates/Pope/Gibbo/Morsy/Hall etc would have gone mental. Not this lot, here you go Cheltenham here's your 3 points from a losing position. I am very surprised given his playing style and but Smith has demonstrated time and time again he was a poor choice to be Captain. He can't steel them up. We've fallen apart like wet cardboard far too many times. We need an entirely new face to head up a 95% new squad.

  22. I think I disagree with every sentence. The club hasn't been killed. The atmosphere and feel good factor have been mind you. We'll still be in business next season, thanks to Carol. I don't think she is egotistical or patronising, but she has made mistakes - big ones, that are going to cost the club, and so her. I didn't have a problem with her open letter either, I thought it was front foot after all the stick she gets for being on the back foot. And she ate some humble pie when Flitcroft left after she said he was going nowhere. I don't get these "vanity project" comments - what sane person throws her personal wealth at a "vanity project" in the way Carol has done at great cost to herself? It would make no sense, and she is a shrewd business woman. And her losing a few million is like you losing £500? I don't see it. She has put heart and soul into the club, made mistakes, will pay for them from her own pocket, and try to get us back up if/when we do go down. Regular fans buying season tickets will too, but I think the comparison ends there. We're all angry, but personal attacks on Carol's character are out of order, in my view. I'm glad she's our chairwoman, and I hope she sticks around to see us promoted again.

  23. If you feel that much compassion to Carol then compensate her by reimbursing her with some of the money you extracted from her, when you held a gun to the clubs head.?. This is our club nothing to do with you anymore. Go stick your nose into someone else’s business. Adios.

  26. I can’t really add much more to what has already been said. What an absolute calamity of an afternoon- we deserve relegation. If we’d have won today, not only would we have edged away from Cheltenham, as well as kept up with Burton, but we would have closed the gap on Shrewsbury (same GD) & Cambridge (last home game of the season) to just three points with three games left. Darren Moore hang your head in shame, that was the most shocking half of football I’ve seen at Vale. I’m genuinely shocked there isn’t more criticism in his direction at the minute. Absolutely pissed off this evening…

  27. What name you coming back under in a few weeks pal? Sublime smudge 🤔

  28. Just more evidence of how shocking the recruitment has been when we can only bring on a midfielder who’s been poor so far on loan for a striker who’s shattered after 50 mins having to leave the only forward on the pitch being a 17 year old scholar. Whilst the other 2 strikers on the books are in the treatment room with less than 4 goals between them. Complete shambles

  29. 4 0 second half capitulation against a team supposedly "on the beach". That was the most embarrassing 45 minutes I think I've ever seen from a Vale side. DMs substitutions were woeful. Exeter changed it at half time by going with wingers and DM didn't react. When he eventually started making subs, they were baffling! Awful manager. Yes, he was quickly down the tunnel at the end, leaving his players to it, to get the stick off the (very few of us) fans that stayed until the end. We need a better manager than DM. We need better players than the likes of Grant, Massey, Sang, Weir, Loft... We have looked certain for relegation for months now. There are ten teams that are awful, and we're amongst the worst four of them. Yet another Saturday night ruined! Shambolic, from 2 0 up at home. I'm seething. Uche played really well today. First player subbed off! Why???? Grant and Sang played the entire 90 minutes! Why???? Dogshite second half from both. Weir jogged about when he came on, hardly put a tackle in at all! Terrible, terrible 2nd second half!

  30. I very nearly put a thread on yesterday after looking through League 1 and Championship accounts. The blunt reality is you largely need to be losing £4m+ to compete at the top end of League 1 - only Plymouth are an outlier and in real danger of an immediate return. 7 of the top 8 lost at least £4m in 22/23 with far larger turnover than us, which really illustrates the discrepancy in wage budget. Posh and Pompey each spent around £8m on wages last season - neither went up. Ipswich spent nearly £13m on wages alone. You need to be losing £15m to then just stay in the Championship, spending £20-30m on wages alone. If we ever fluked it, we’re back down within 2 seasons. You get the very odd exception, but clubs who don’t lose £15m a year in the Championship come down - Wycombe, Blackpool, and Rotherham being the most obvious examples. There is absolutely no doubt that the club has horrendously spent in the last 18 months, and 3.4m is hefty loss to finish 18th (around the second or third highest of teams who finished in the bottom half), but we cannot take for granted that Carol is effectively happy to write off millions per annum to keep PVFC afloat. Only one club didn’t lose money in 22/23 and that was Cheltenham, who are likely down this year. Burton didn’t lose much, and are in danger of the drop this year. Same for Shrewsbury. Otherwise, it’s losses of 1m+ I’ve been very vocal in my critical of decision-making, but I’m finding some of the stick Carol is getting absolutely ludicrous. Her intentions are good and she’s probably our best option of having an owner who is happy to plug the financial gap that the system demands of owners without having ulterior motives.

  31. Pretty much every signing press release for the last 27 months has copied and pasted this drivel. Alongside loads of <ovf censored> about the players being hungry for success, like they were Ben Garrity copies. We've won 5 games since SEPTEMBER so clearly <ovf censored> not.

  32. Another poor night in what is a memorable season for all the wrong reasons. Can we just stop it all now and say we are down. What a god awful season this has been. Terrible recruitment Poor pre-season - and this is despite the club being stable. This is usually an indicator of chaos behind the scenes - but no, this was the result of the 'pruhcess' Started with a massive wake up call with an absolute hammering by Barnsley Couple of fortunate results early on flattered to deceive Got found out Lost all talent from the side at Christmas No recruitment in January Injuries to the only decent outfield players No squad depth No wing backs Poor defence No attackers Hate the team and I hate the strip. Hopefully both are gone by next season. Please DM give me some hope for next season by saying how you cannot wait to get rid of the dead wood.. Lets get some new talentless cast offs and bully boy defenders ready for a season in the lump it league. Hopefully we avoid the double dip that has befallen Forest Green...

  38. It's been a few months since I last engaged with our community here, and I wanted to share why. Supporting our club had begun to feel like a toxic endeavour, and I needed some distance. Relegation isn't the end of the world for me. While none of us want it to happen, it's a reality of football. We watch for the highs and lows, understanding that success isn't guaranteed. Accepting this fact has made it easier for me to cope with the possibility of relegation. The turning point for me was the dark cloud that settled over the club last January. Something shifted then, likely due to the club overspending beyond its means, as evidenced by the recent £3.4 million losses. While scaling back was necessary, the subsequent decisions, like removing Colin and sacking a manager for struggling with a depleted squad, felt misguided. Clarke's ability to keep us afloat last season speaks volumes about his managerial prowess. If he had to leave, we needed a replacement with a strong vision for the team. Unfortunately, the departure of key figures led to chaos on the footballing side. Last year's preseason was a disaster, culminating in a humiliating defeat on the opening day. Concerns about the quality of signings were brushed aside, with dissenting voices labelled as negative. I held hope that Darren Moore could turn things around, but his tenure has been underwhelming. His interviews offer little insight, and his inability to galvanize the team has been disappointing. However, I'm optimistic about the future under Matt Hancock's leadership. Whether Moore stays or goes, we need a manager who exudes passion and takes responsibility. Another 'yes man' won't cut it. A thorough overhaul is required, starting with releasing out-of-contract players, sending back the loans, and trying to get rid of some of the contracted players who won't cut it in League Two. Losing key players like Garrity and Ojo is a possibility, but it's essential to revitalize the team regardless. League Two offers a chance for renewal, even if immediate promotion isn't guaranteed. My hope is for a club we can be proud of again, even if it means settling for mid-table mediocrity next season. While the road ahead may be challenging, I'm hopeful that with the right leadership and fan support, we can reclaim our pride in being Vale fans once more. See you in August

  39. Some lads need to take a step away from the keyboard and stop embarrassing themselves. There more to life than making a holy show of yourself on the forums.

  41. Give it a rest lad your constant abuse of Carol is boring now & pretty cringeworthy. We all know your not happy about it neither are most fans she’s made mistakes & you’ve made your point!

  42. There it is. Relegation all but confirmed. And if you think anything different you have the strongest denial in the world Trust the process ? Championship ready ? What an absolute joke. A credit to all the vale fans who have travelled near and far this season and sorry to everyone to endure another relegation to the doldrums of league 2 again. Bet Dave is enjoying his holibobs with his nice wage he made ripping the heart out of this football club. Cheers Carol.

  45. 0-3. Another team some expected would be cannon fodder like Exeter. Don't know if they are still horrible and physical. Either way they'll have too much. 25 months since a home league win under the lights. I anticipate that will stretch to 28 or 29 months after Tuesday. Can't wait for this abysmal season to end. 3-3-12 reads our last 18 homes. Utter disgrace to the shirt.

  46. I disagree. First thing wrong was giving Flitcroft a window last August. Should never have happened. Second thing wrong was giving Flitcroft this January. Should never have happened. Third thing wrong was kicking the fans in the teeth with her “I know better than you” open letter and actually backing the man who she employed and we could all see was ruining the club!! Fourth thing wrong. You don’t openly address the Valiant suite in stating we have phenomenal players because the wags told her! Fifth thing wrong. And I’m going back a bit here, but her appointment of Andy Crosby. Yes. Flitcroft was in charge. But she came out and said she didn’t even interview anyone!! Madness! Sixth thing wrong. Letting the regular stalwarts in the paddock, pee on their own feet all season. Seventh thing wrong. Getting rid of good men in Speedie and Colin Garlick. The soul of this club. And look at the fruits of her Labour now! I could go on. And don’t get me wrong. There are many good things that she has done. But like anything in life, if you mess up, you need to be held accountable. And this is on her head. Do I think she’s a crook? No. Do I think she means well? Yes. Do I think I’m these last 18 months she’s made catastrophic mistakes, became fame oriented and taken her eye off the ball? Absolutely. Its not hatred. It isn’t another Smurthwaite. But <ovf censored> me has she messed up big time.

  47. The sad reality is the club has had as many bizarre decisions that we saw under Smurfwaite. It may be wrapped in the cuddly, warm quilt of community clubs and self styled saviour nonsense, but things like Flitcroft, President Robbie, poor summer funding for strikers, dreadful January windows, irate letters to fans are pure Smurfwaite level errors. What we really need is a board of investors with real knowledge who can truly scrutinize decisions being made. Having a DOF as a director in Flitcroft was madness. We basically gave him the right to mark his own homework!

  48. I've heard Moore's interview. Apparently the players aren't mentally strong enough. When our WBs are getting passed time after time, why not bring Shorrock and Plant on? When Uche was holding the ball up in the first half and he gets knackered, why replace him with a MF? We have been in front 5 times under Moore...won at Burton, won against Bristol, lost today,at Cheltenham and drew against Fleetwood. He is a really poor manager in my eyes...9 points out of 42 and our GD has gone from minus 15 to minus 30

  49. It’s an expensive one , if that’s the case. I don’t know of too many vanity projects with a yearly loss of £3.4M.
