  1. We are about to see how bad this team really want it. Take the passion and the togetherness into any game as we did with Burton and we stand a chance. As long as they turn up and try their damn best now, that's all I want. Shows really how poor its been. All eyes will be on Loft today, he should have some confidence in himself from last week and good on him for getting that goal. Really is the hope that kills you isn't it? I'm going 1-0 Vale, Loft to score a tap in.

  2. Just watched DM's pre match press conference and unless I'm much mistaken he had an animation I have not seen before. The squad have obviously taken great heart and pride not only on the win against Burton, but maybe even more so the performance. I am feeling a lot more confident about tomorrow but not getting carried away, it really is a case of get a win and its game on. Lose and it's game over. My prediction for what it's worth is 2-0 to the mighty whites.

  3. Why don't you use Phil Myatt's season ticket? I have heard that he's not going. I'm not sure if you know him though with you being a newbie and all that

  5. Tommy Johnson is still head of recruitment according to PV website. Does anyone know exactly what he does because he must have been hand in hand with Flitcroft for last few years!

  6. For me the defence is going to be key, no mistakes and need to put effort in the same as Burton we may be able to survive.

  7. Not an easy but a winnable game today. The fixture list has been relatively kind as we have 4 home games against teams you would expect (rather than hope) a reasonable league 1 side would get a result against. The away games are far tougher. If we win the next 4 home games that's 48 points and we almost certainly stay up. We win 3 and draw one we'll maybe stay up. If we do worse than that we deserve to be relegated anyway.

  9. Would be good to see Loft bag some goals against his old club in the same way ex-vale players always seem to score against us! UTV

  10. Given away games in the remaining fixtures at Northampton, Wigan, Peterborough and Bolton, we need to win against Bristol Rovers and deliver the biggest improvement imaginable in away form to collect the points needed to stay up. It does happen in football sometimes. But transformation must start with a convincing win v Bristol that leaves the team high in confidence before Northampton away. At least on Monday we know Akinfenwa has retired!

  11. Haven't been looking forward to a game so much for some time. There's now a glimmer of hope. Come on!

  12. Dean Smith and hulbert need to be added to the awful signings list aswell! Hulbert was OK in a holding role. He was no world beater but he did the simple stuff well enough.

  13. I would not think that was true. Experiencing a relegation fight would be part of his learning and would be good for him to be involved in that.

  18. I have no idea about this game. BR played some good one touch stuff under Joey Spacker, no idea how they play now. Loft will have a point to prove, he is on fire, two in two (calendar years) now I think. I will go 1-1. Att: 6,900/750 Bristolians.

  19. Easy to be blasé... more difficult to make a difference to people's lives who really need it like these people at Vale are trying to do.
