  2. Lady Luck and Mr Momentum are hurtling towards one of the bottom 6 sides, we have to make sure we are the team that grabs it. Form, attitude, mentality, nothing else matters now it is purely down to luck and momentum for the next 8 games.

  3. Just watched DM's pre match press conference and unless I'm much mistaken he had an animation I have not seen before. The squad have obviously taken great heart and pride not only on the win against Burton, but maybe even more so the performance. I am feeling a lot more confident about tomorrow but not getting carried away, it really is a case of get a win and its game on. Lose and it's game over. My prediction for what it's worth is 2-0 to the mighty whites.

  4. 4 points from these two games would be great and against two teams we really shouldn’t fear. Northampton done well but only came up this season and were garbage down vale park. Rovers is anyone’s guess, results up and down and clearly a better side than us but one we can beat. 4 or 6 points please, some tough games coming up. Although my mate is a Bolton fan and is expecting an upset for that one. Win Friday and we’re back in it as burton / Cambridge won’t get many more points either.

  5. Haven't been looking forward to a game so much for some time. There's now a glimmer of hope. Come on!

  7. Sounds like you've got it smashed Patrick Wonder they stuck you in the hot seat with that level of strategic thinking

  8. That's an absurd position to take. We can't afford to write off any games. We will probably need points from some unlikely sources to stay up, just as we're likely to miss out in games where people think we "should" get something. Every game counts.

  9. I would even take us being 3 points behind knowing any win would keep us up. I am not on this "safe before we play Cambridge" train. I really don't see us winning at Bolton or Peterborough.

  10. When we are relegated and we will be we will finish next season in the bottom half of league 2 but at least we might win community club of the year for division 2

  11. the result against Burton gives us hope and the performance was excellent and ti feel three more wins will keep us up and we still have Wycombe , Exeter and Cambridge to come and I believe we can do it; stay positive and get behind the lads

  12. Certainly Fleetwood v Cheltenham drawing would be good but that's only so if we beat the Gas..... It DEFFO take us being two points behind Cambridge on the last day with a win needed to stay up right now.....

  15. If we get relegated I think Port Vale can bounce back with promotion. We have seen in cup games that the current squad can compete with the top teams there. So with some rebalancing we should be challenging. Looking at our remaining L1 fixtures we face a big challenge given the difficulty of the away games. I see the Bristol Rovers game as must win if we are to mount a successful climb back up to the top of the cliff and not quickly fall into the drink.

  16. Cheers no worries . I didn't think so not to worry pay full price Last time she came R Loft scored for BR will be a coincidence if same player scores lets hope Vale on right side of a 3-1 scoreline. Be the 3rd game she as attended Man City Away Bristol Rovers at home twice . My team has its horses for courses Ripley Lopaco Lowe Icavetti Ojo Garrity Plant Grant. Chislett Loft Uche (Dipepa) Some players play well away and some play well at home

  19. Obviously all games at the bottom are massive at this stage. Fleetwood v Cheltenham this Friday I'd be hoping for a draw 🙏. Ultimately we got take care of our own business but outside help always comes into the equation.

  20. Yes that is a fair point. However, in theory they were all good signings. Rocastle had a good pedigree and reputation, as did Edwards. Tudor had ripped us apart at Orient and Miller also had a good pedigree. None of them worked out agreed, but at the time they were signed we were all pretty content. Perhaps they did not work out so well because Martin was not the ideal manager to get the best out of them. We need to look at all of the Tinman's signings. Other signings for us that were not so bad, Dean Smith, Nathan Lowndes, Robin Hulbert. Mark MacGregor, Signings who were more than ok, Marc Richards, Leon Constantine, Akpo Sodje, Luke Rodgers, Danny Whittaker, Danny Sonner, Tony Dinning, Paul Harsley.. Any of those strikers or midfielders would walk into our team right now. All of that lot cost us in the order of £50,000 in total. To sum up someone's success at recruitment you need to look at the big picture not just one small period in the calendar. The great John Rudge signed some awful players, signings is a percentage game. Overall, Martin Foyle's record is decent. So with respect, I was around in 2007, and have been around watching Vale for over 60 years and my memory is pretty damn good.

  21. 50 years ago but now not a chance, although I can trap a ball when I sit down these days. Always remember running onto the Vale pitch after the last game of the season when I was about 12 years old and looking from the center circle to the Bycars Road goal and it seemed miles away.

  22. Ah yes because all of the playing budget has been spent on charity, glad you're here to audit the club financials though and keep us updated!

  24. Easy to be blasé... more difficult to make a difference to people's lives who really need it like these people at Vale are trying to do.

  26. Given that I will be going to four of the last games including aways at Northampton and Peterborough, I hope we get a few wins and pull away. I’ve seen enough defeats this season!
