  1. I’ll get my tin hat on for this one. It’s time she kopped the majority of blame here. She bought the club debt free. And as Vale fans we were overjoyed after the last crook. However the last 18 months have been shambolic. As fans I hear, yeah the academy are doing good. We will get millions for him and him. We have sold this lad to Man City for hundreds of thousands. Etc. Etc. Bearing in mind as supporters we don’t see that money. So isn’t it right to question why we are almost 10 million in debt when she bought it debt free? The bread and butter. The football. It’s garbage. With garbage footballers. Shes also had 4 managers now in her short tenure. And I dare say the latest one won’t last long. Shes divided a fanbase with her cringeworthy backing of a man who was intent on ruining Port Vale. David Flitcroft. And only sacked him after a group of fans had to give her head a wobble. The laughs and jokes and arrogance as Flitcroft announced that relegation wasn’t in his vocabulary. Followed by the cringe distraction of “El Presidente”. Probably for her and his ego. The Valiant Suite talk about how people she met 5 minutes ago told her our players are phenomenal and we won’t go down. She was very quick to go on radio and tv across the country when it went good. Then sunk back into her shell, apart from the most pathetic open letter I’ve ever read, when she more or less slagged off her fanbase. Those that loved her. In support for one crook. Sorry Carol. The time has come to break your silence. The last 18 months has been an absolute disaster. And the repercussions will carry on because that debt isn’t good, the players are garbage, the manager is looking like a dear in the headlights, and the fans are well and truly demoralized with the whole debacle. The buck stops at the top. Before any idiot says “Who do you want to buy us”, I’m not saying she should sell. My point is that her decisions, as owner of this football club, have got us into this financial mess and on the pitch it’s an absolute disgrace. The worst Vale team I’ve seen in 40 plus years. And if it was Smurthwaite at the helm, going through all of this, you’d all be raging. She needs to be accountable for her actions.

  2. Absolutely massive credit to Bede, Mellor, Mark, Tony, Jean, NLV lads, and anyone I missed off. They braved it and talked Carol into viewing things very differently. Got a load of undeserved stick from people who didn’t have a clue. Once again, these lads and ladies sacrifice time and effort for PVFC. Raising a glass to them.

  5. On 1st January we were 15th in the league with 29 points from 23 games. Exeter were 4th bottom with 23 points. We signed 5 players none of whom started today and none of whom are league one standard. Exeter signed 4 players and 2 of them scored 3 of their goals today. If anyone thinks our position is down to anything other than completely sh*** recruitment then they must be mad. Each transfer window we have rebuilt with polystyrene instead of bricks. And we seem to have spent a ludicrous amount of money in doing so. Moore makes mistakes but he has inherited a squad that is lacking in balance, bottle and balls. That's all.

  6. Having personally dealt with Matt all throughout this 'process', I'd appeal for us all to let the dust settle and show the man a bit of respect. He has been true to every word that he has said to me and others and I believe that the club will change for the better in the coming weeks and months. Rest assured, I won't <ovf censored> rest unless it does. We're <ovf censored> on the pitch. We're angry in the stands. We've all been treated poorly and left behind. But these aren't bad people, they have just had bad judgement and bad advice. We're trying to change that, and they are listening. Let's give them a chance to repair that.

  7. Right decision and will benefit Port Vale in the long run if not the short run to the end of this season. My view on Carol is that I try to judge people on intentions over execution. Her intentions are absolutely to do the best she can for Port Vale. That gets her a significant amount of leeway in my eyes. The execution hasn’t been perfect and it’s clear as a person she is very loyal and tends to hold on to people for too long when it’s clear they should go. Its not the worst fault in the world, I can name many MANY worse by just looking at previous owners.

  8. Gutless. Cowards. Pathetic. And I’m not just on about the shameful players on that pitch. If we win together and lose together then the whole club should hang their heads tonight. In my 44 years on this planet, I’ve never seen a worse 45 minutes on a football pitch. Disgusted. We deserve to go down. Carol needs to hang her head in shame with her decisions throughout the last 18 months. Those players, who go crying to her because some podcast is slating them, need to get some thick skin because as a collective they are absolutely pathetic. Bez on his podcast is right. Bottlejobs. The lot of them. That 2nd half was disgusting. Darren Moore. What the <ovf censored> have you said at half time?!!!!! I’ve had the mans back but that is criminal to defend a 2-0 lead. League 2 next season. 9 million in debt. Dogshit players. Signed a lad from the USA 2nd division for the remainder of the season who can’t get in the squad with 4 games to go! Seriously. If this was under Smurthwaite we would be raging! The buck stops at the top. The decisions that have been made have been nothing short of a disgrace. Owner. Manager. Coaching Staff. Players. Today. As representatives of Port Vale Football Club, you’re an absolute disgrace.

  9. I clapped. I told them to get their heads up and go again Saturday. I did it because as fans we have nothing else left we can do. These players are the only ones who can get us out of this. We've got two massive games on Saturday and Tuesday. We need to stay behind them until the end now. Giving them a round of <ovf censored> and booing them will do nowt. Showing them we're backing them just might. Give the players/the club/the recruitment team etc... both barrels if we do go down. Anyone who knows me will tell you that if I don't think they're putting it in, I'll let them know. But right now the only option as fans is giving every bit of support we can (even if it looks like the players aren't). At least we've done our bit then.

  10. It's been an absolutely car crash of a season and relegation is an absolute guarantee at this point. And the office upstairs have failed the club miserably. However. For the first time in years we've got some decent young players coming through the ranks and it's just refreshing to see the likes of Bailey, Walters and plant playing. No one is claiming he's a world beater but for the love of God give the 17 year a old a break instead of writing him off because he's in a bad team. He's just scored two goals for the national team under 17s. What have you done with your life ? "Fans" like you are exactly the problem with modern day football. Saying he's leek town level is a joke and disgrace and yet if he was to bang in a hat trick next week you'd be loving him Shame on you for slating the young man.

  12. I have not seen the phrase "world beater" at all earlier in this thread. I've seen "prospect", "keep up the good work" and "bright spark" though. I don't think anyone's thinking he's a "world beater" but rather that he's done well in difficult circumstances and has been rewarded with an U17 cap. He's still very much at the fledgling stage of his career and arguably the club should not have been risking ruining him by giving him so much first-team football early on, but I don't see anyone on here hyping him up, just a bunch of fans pleased to see a youngster doing well so far.

  14. I haven't read the whole thread so apologies for that. If I put myself into Carols position right now, I would be really struggling emotionally and mentally. Carol had total trust in Dave Flitcroft and he has only been gone for a very short time. I would imagine there is some sort of grieving process she is going through. The video that was recorded of her in the Valiant Suite and then put online has effected her trust in how things are perceived. She will feel that everything she says will be used against her and that leaves her in a very isolated and difficult position when it comes to communication. It was very naïve of her to do what she did in front of paying fans, they are not trusted friends. However, publishing a video of somebody clearly distressed is a pretty awful thing to do and most of us would have been absolutely devastated by it. We feel like we do about the situation as fans, imagine having invested millions and ending up back at square one, how would you feel? Yes there is plenty that Carol herself has done wrong, not least trusting the former DoF, but even if it is her fault she is still a person who needs to come to terms with it all. I am prepared to give her next season. The Shanahan's have the very best interests of the club at heart, even if they are getting it wrong at the moment in various areas. Lets just remember that whilst its ok to criticise what's happened, its not ok to criticise Carol as a person. She probably needs more support right now than ever before.

  15. Not a name known to many OVF posters I suspect. But whilst being Head of Academy Coach & Player Development at the Vale Josh also has a second job as Manager of Leek Town FC and 'his' team are the antithesis of PVFC first team results wise. Whilst we are busy getting ourselves relegated Leek Town have, since a 5-0 drubbing that saw Josh take over as Manager, won 15 drawn 2 lost 0 in the league. This fantastic run now sees Leek Town comfortably top of the league and if results go their way on Saturday will see them win the league and take the one automatic promotion spot to Step 3 of the non league pyramid. Just three more promotions to league 2 may seem a task beyond them, but, on average gates of around 500-600 , I hope you will agree it's an amazing success story. So, congratulations to you Josh and Leek Town FC. Look forward to you taking on the likes of Macclesfield and FC United of Manchester next season if i am not mistaken.

  16. We have had Uche and Loft on for almost all of the match and all I’ve seen from them is be deep or trying to win headers. Not one of them have sat on the last man. The defence is dreadful. You know Debrah and Iacovitti are bad when they’re worse than Nathan Smith. The midfield are clueless. Garrity apart. The tactics and formation, well I honestly couldn’t tell you what it was. No focal point up front. Garbage at the back. No quality in the middle. No structure. No fight. No hope. When our relegation is confirmed on Saturday, it’s gonna take a strange kind of human to turn up against Cambridge, at 12.30 on a Saturday, to watch the most hopeless, inept, gutless, pathetic, clueless, classless, dreadful, Port Vale we have had for arguably decades. Carol should sit down tonight and re read her open letter. Fans are rarely wrong. Money spunked in the wrong areas. Cheap appointment in Crosby. Stupidly holding on to Flitcroft for way too long. Signing “nice” guys and kids. Signing a squad with no balance. Trust the process crap. And unbelievably we keep employing more and more staff to areas of the club which, quite frankly, fans could give two twats about. An absolute <ovf censored> show a “football” club. Football being the operative word. Because that’s ultimately all that the fans care about. The football. And Carol alignment with David has caused this absolute shower. League 2 awaits and with this shower and no leadership, god only knows where we will be this time next season. Shambolic.

  17. This is how I feel about Carol. Insulted. My son and I have STs. It's a pain to get to home games as I have an elderly relative who is very ill and due to working Monday-Friday,Saturday is the only time to visit. To commit to the team I run round to make it to the game. On Tuesdays we have to shop so it's a similar routine. Wolf some food down and rush to the game. Carol appointed Flitcroft. The decision to move home fans to the Hamil would have gone ahead anyway, with or without a vote. Carol is overheard saying our players are phenomenal. Flitcroft says publicly he hasn't considered relegation. Carol sacks the manager after the January window. Carol lets Flitcroft go. Carol appoints Moore,on a 5 year deal. Carol oversees the El Presidente fiasco. Carol sends a snotty condescending letter to the fans. All these things, and more, have happened whilst she is the owner. That's me done. I won't be running round like an idiot on Tuesdays and Saturdays. She doesn't deserve people to do this, whilst she seems to think burying her head in the sand is the answer. I will look for the results but I feel absolutely empty after yesterday. The team have lost 24 home games out of 43 in this division. Iacovitti said pre match that when the crowd gets going it frightens the opposition. Does it? I don't think so. Carol needs to apologise for mistake after mistake after mistake. I admire the diehard fans who will watch Vale whatever division they are in,but for me, yesterday was the final straw. I haven't enjoyed being in this division watching the team lose every other week. It's depressing. The only person who thinks they are doing a good job is Carol.

  19. If he has played his last game for the club , I shall remember his goals at Exeter and Swindon which got us to wembley , where he scored again of course . He was a sublime player , had the ability to play at championship level , but something was lacking somewhere , cant put my finger on it though . Best wishes for the future James .

  20. What a terrible season its been on and off the pitch. But somehow after yesterdays win we are in with a sniff of pulling off a miracle the only way i think we can get ourselves out of this is if we pack the park. Our last home games are all winnable and i think if we were to win them wed stay up. Id like the club to offer cheaper tickets to get bums on seats. Its the start of a new dawn flitcroft is gone although left in position far to long weve all finally got our wishes. Bring family/mates along lets do our bit to push the lads on . They showed fight and passion yesterday lets get vale park rocking for the first time since the hamil switch. I truly believe if we do it can give the players that extra bit in terms of belief to try and get us over the line. we have been fantastic this season considering what weve been put through this season but now is the time to put that all to bed and create some noise in the right way. We are all vale. We all want league one next year. Lets help achieve this.

  22. That's well unfair. I agree he should be at Leek or Stafford maybe learning his trade. But nobody has said he's a world beater. He's as raw as they come. Not his fault he's been thrust in. He's looked lively and actually looks interested unlike the majority of our other goal machines. A really unfair comment .

  23. The players just not good enough to play in League One. That’s the bottom line. We’ve snatched defeat from the jaws of victory in numerous games. We deserve to go down. We deserve better as fans. I’ll say it again - Carol has let this happen.

  25. I’ve previously posted on here over the years as I’ve actually got a lot of time for Vale, so thought I’d drop in again today for obvious reasons, but I know now isn’t the time to gloat or even to make light of anything (I’m an Exeter fan). Yesterday was a classic game of two halves - first half you were strong and we were poor, you won the first and second balls, you played with purpose and pace and your unit up top was battering us. Second half we stepped up and you just looked like a completely different team, it was bizarre. I thought we played great second half, we dominated possession, were aggressive out of possession, passed the ball around nicely and scored three good goals and a deflection. A big turning point was Moore taking off your big striker, we coped easily with everything else you had (although to be fair we were managing him a lot better in the second half than we had in the first). Keep the faith though, a win on Tuesday and you’ll feel a lot better. It’ll be tough at Bolton of course but then the Cambridge game could easily be one of the great games as you win to stay up. I hope you do - good luck.

  26. Agree to an extent. Carol's got the club at heart and is a brilliant owner in terms of intentions. We'll always have a club with her at the helm. But. But. She's seriously neglected the first team at the expense of everything else and has swallowed too much of everyone else's bull. A season back in League Two might actually help her/us refocus on what the main priority actually is. How many Vale fans would swap the big screen and fancy restaurant for 10 more points this season? Virtually everyone I'd imagine.

  27. Just got back home after driving back to Somerset. Haven't read the thread but I will give my opinion of what I saw today. First half well worth the 2 goal lead without playing particularly well but didn't have to because Exeter were toothless in attack and Vale were on the front foot. Second half started and alarm bells started to ring straight away. In their first attack Exeter almost scored but were only denied a goal by Ripley pulling off a fine reflex save. From the on it was very much one way traffic towards the Vale goal. Vale seemed to sit back and try to protect their lead with the almost inevitable consequence of conceeeding goals. We got battered second half with weakness at full back being exploited ruthlessly. Their keeper had nothing to do second half, Vale's only shot hitting the Hamil Rd stand roof And what genius tactical plan did the manager come up with. He took Uche off and replaced him with Jensen Weir. So up front we had no physical presence to occupy the Exeter central defenders. Today we witnessed the recruitment shortcomings of this season. Exeter playing poorly made substitutions that altered the course of the game and improved significantly. Vale had nobody on the bench that was capable of turning the game back in our favour. Relegation now beckons and it will be deserved on that performance and many others this season.

  28. The second half was absolutely horrendous. From the second the teams came out, with two changes made from their side, it was complete dominance for Exeter. Woods began to run things and we never had any concerted possession of the ball. Moore was completely outwitted by Caldwell. His subs were appalling. Weir up front with Dipepa at 2-1 left us with no outlet at all - if Uche had to go off, Loft was the sub. The lack of change between 2-1 and 2-4 was startling. Incredibly passive with no effort to take a hold on things. The lack of leadership within the squad was stark. The heads-down trudge at 2-2 spoke volumes. Not a single rallying cry. Only Chislett looked bothered as the game went on. The microcosm of the players mentality could be witnessed at the end, for the 100 daft enough to stay. Moore scarpered immediately. The players sort of milled around in the centre circle, bereft of leadership. Uche convinced them to go and clap the fans. They trudged round to silence and a few boos, and then Uche starting having a very aggressive debate with a fan. He had to be pulled away perhaps 5 times, returning time and again like a petulant child. Completely unedifying. This was coming. I gave up at Derby, then gave myself belief when Flitcroft went and we beat Burton. I wanted to get behind them again. Fundamentally this is a very, verypoor squad with a very poor character blend, lacking heart and courage in key moments. Letting 2 goal leads slip at Vale Park has killed us. We have to look at Moore, unfortunately. Yes, the squad is poor, but 2 wins from 15 with a pretty decent run of fixtures is awful and makes Crosby’s record look decent. He will go into League 2 with a poor record, an unconvinced fanbase, and a squad pretty similar to now - all damaged by a relegation, a poor relationship with fans, and dreadful runs of form - it must be 2 wins in nearly 25 now. I imagine relegation will be sealed at Bolton. Relegation to League 2 isn’t apocalyptic, and Carol will continue to pick up the tab to keep us existing - I hope. However, she needs to reflect on what has been an awful two years since promotion, a completely squandered opportunity. Decision-making has been poor, at best. It’s going to have to improve relatively soon or we’ll have bigger problems then losing 3M a year. We’ll all turn up against next year, but this feels particularly damaging - I think we all felt a new era had dawned at Wembley. Feels now like a brief distraction from more of the same.

That was the point he gets sacked. Third sign of failure. This January. Nothing changed. No improvement. Ridiculous recruitment. Now the blokes job is untenable. 35. I really can't see any point in endlessly predicting/forecasting what is likely/certain to happen in the next fixture, we will lose, we know that for certain. Home, away, makes no difference. I accept that we are down which is disappointing to put it mildly. What absolutely infuriates and enrages me though is the manner of our going. We know that they are not good enough and that is down to fraudcroft and potentially Carol and the budget, or lack of one. The squad is horrendously unbalanced and that is directly down to fraudcroft. However, all that being said it is the players themselves who are entirely culpable for the way they have gone about things. They have shown absolutely no interest in giving it their all in any game this season (and last season too), they have never got injured going in for desperate challenges to win the ball. They have not closed down, tracked back or shown the slightest interest in working up a sweat. What they have done is allowed teams to walk through us unchallenged to score the easiest of goals. They have defended like clueless idiots and would be a disgrace to a Sunday league pub team. They have shown the most appalling body language, clearly giving up when the first goal goes in after 5 minutes. They have tried to hide for the entire match. In short we were almost certainly doomed before a ball was kicked, but I just cannot and will not accept the way it has happened. There are one or two notable exceptions and no blame can be attached to the young'uns, who have done us and themselves proud. The rest of them have to go, by any means necessary and in that I put fraudcroft at the top of the list. Whew, glad I got that off my chest.

  36. “We would like to place on record our sincere appreciation to Colin for his support and commitment, especially in the early days when we purchased the club, during which time his football administration knowledge, understanding of the industry and experience was invaluable to us. “Colin is a good man, a friend and somebody we will always be grateful to for his advice and guidance when we became custodians in 2019. Colin and his family will always be welcome back at Vale Park and we wish both Colin and his family well in the future. “I am really excited about the leadership team we have built and the plans we have in place, initially in the short-term in what will be our first full close season since we became custodians, and then also in the longer-term as we continue to grow and improve to fulfil the objective of becoming a Championship ready club, on and off the pitch. “We will communicate further details on the new leadership group in the coming days and weeks. Clearly, it was important to us that we showed our gratitude to Colin and informed Vale supporters of the changes before Colin leaves us.” On behalf of the staff and supporters, Port Vale Football Club would like to place on record its appreciation to Colin for his contribution and service to the club. We wish him and his family all the very best for the future. Colin will also leave his role as a Trustee of the Port Vale Foundation. This weekend, Colin will be at Vale Park for his final match at the club in an official capacity and will be on the pitch at half-time to receive thanks from staff and supporters for his dedication during his time at the club. ………………………………………………………… This was announced on Friday 31st March last year. The man had 24 hours to then say a goodbye. No notice. Just basically get gone. That was the statement. This was two weeks before sacking Darrell Clarke as well. 13 months down the line and it’s been a catastrophic error of judgement, or just a sheer power trip. You don’t do 7 years service at a football club, get advertised you’re gone on the Friday, say your goodbyes on the Saturday and never to be heard of again. Make of it all what you will but critical think these things. It’s why “we are where we are”.

  38. The hard truth about today as far as I'm concerned is we scored a deflected goal and their keeper had a mare for the second, they changed things around at half time and we didn't have a clue, not a scooby,it was obvious after 5 minutes of the 2nd half they would score but not 4. The substitutions were bizarre, surely Loft on for Uche, there again I didn't see Loft he was missing for the half time kick around and I couldn't see him on the bench, was he even there ? Weir on for Uche rendered our forward line redundant, if I had known that Dipeppa and Weir would have been our forward line during one of our most important games of the season I would have thought you were off your rocker. I feel as though we have given our place in the 1st division away cheaply, starting off 7 zip in August, building a side round loan players and injury ridden journeymen and no strikers then going on to playing with no passion or commitment is unforgivable for me, the decision to leave Crosby in position for so long was unforgivable and not having a proper recruitment process in place to replace him was also unforgivable. Next season will be no easier, we don't have a nucleus of a good side, to many of the current team are bottlers but are under contract next season, we had the basis of a solid 1st division side when we left Wembley 2 years ago, we are nowhere near that standard tonight.

  39. Valid question - how did it come to this? I stood in Cambridge Utd's pothole strewn car park this week, watching my car being washed and looking around at the portakabins, occasional skip and other assorted junk, not to mention their second rate ground and asked myself the very same question. This season, in addition to Okenabirhie, Cambridge added Ahadme (top scorer on loan from Ipswich), Kachunga, Kaikai and Lyle Taylor. These five have scored 33 goals for them in 128 appearances, goals that look virtually certain to keep them up. Last game, ironically, they put three past Wigan. Cambridge have smaller attendances than we do - and I infer, a smaller budget - and yet they had seemingly little difficuly in adding forwards to their squad having lost Smith and Knibbs to Reading in the summer. So we are entitled to ask some searching questions about striker recruitment. Cambridge are a well managed club, a community club, and they have an unrelenting focus on what happens on the pitch first and foremost. To me, therefore, our owners have got to have a serious look at where their priorities lie. This season may be too late (let's hope and pray not) but next season needs a complete change of focus. If not, we can expect more of the same.

  40. The mercurial Ben Garrity was again outstanding. He has duracell batteries fitted in his chest. He is everywhere. He coolly slots home goals like a seasoned Harry Kane. Admittedly I am biased as I always feel He is the gel that holds Vale together. Our future has to be built round him and young B D up front. Please Ben get over the injury and continue to orchestrate our miracle escape. Absolutely enjoyed today. Smiling faces leaving the ground, ovations to the players and management- why oh why have we left it this late to show the grit, determination, guile and purpose to ensure our stay in Division 1? Enjoy tonight fellow Valiants, sleep well. Refresh yourselves ready to support the last games and gee ourselves up to be the 12th man to back the lads to the hilt. We can do this, we really can.

  41. Can't understand the negativity after a performance and result like today. I thought it was the best performance of the season. We looked like a proper team and what a difference that made. I said in the pub after the game that DIpepa's goal reminded me of Michael Owen's goal against Argentina, so it's nice to see that others thought that too. Ben Garrity's goal booked better on the replay as he calmly sat the keeper down before slotting it past him. I have to admit that in many games this season I have been gone before the final whistle but today I along with most of the fans stayed to applaud the lads. It was obvious that something has fundementaly changed and that there is now a togetherness that has not been there all season. I did predict a 2-0 scoreline but to put it in context I always predict a Vale win but this is the first time this season that I have got it right. Tonight Matthew, I am a happy Vale fan.

  42. What I love about that is how happy the players are for Loft. They know the stick he’s been getting has been a disgrace. Loft seems low key when it goes in too, understandably so given how some fans have been with him. I’m happy for Loft. He’s been the scapegoat for Flitcrofts failings. I hope he can shake that now.

  43. The DoF decision can wait till next season - we have 9 games left to save ourselves from the more than likely scenario of relegation. We have got rid of AC, got rid of DF (who I think has not had a good transfer window since we came into L1 to be honest and his position had become untenable) so now lets see what our players and DM can do. As for Carol, yes she has made mistakes but we are in a better position with her than most clubs. My youngest asked when are we going to the Vale next (4 hour round trip), I said why we keep losing, she replied but you said we support the team through thick and thin, we are VTID. This made me think since '84 when I first went on a Tuesday evening standing the the railway paddock I knew each season some teams get promoted, some teams stay in the league and some get relegated. Lets face it I've seen quite a few relegations / promotions since '84 and always accepted the possible three outcomes. Taking my daughter these last few seasons has made me connect back with the club and I have thoroughly enjoyed travelling to Vale park and banter with my fellow fans (every home game is an away day as I say). Due to other commitments I can only go to the last two Saturday home matches - hoping we have a chance to stay up but if we are relegated so be it; its the chance we take each season. I will be there for Port Vale and the fans- not the players (they have let the fans down massively I feel in their performances and attitude), nor the owners. Players, Managers, DoFs and owners come and go but the fans and the club remain season after season with hopes and aspirations like every football fan. So for the 9 games left lets hope DM can motivate our players, - they owe us more than 9 games of good performances this season no matter what the excuses are; they are supposed to be professionals. Think we all need to hope and get behind the team now - 3 points on Saturday would be a massive boost for all concerned. Good luck and safe travels to fans home and away - see you on the 13th April - Until then UTV.

  44. I think you are way off the mark. IMHO we have a superb owner and to just say 'sell up and go' is hugely insulting to the person who has ... Saved our club from extinction ... it was a queue of 1. Spent over £10M on the infrastructure and purchase. Made PVFC into one of the most community respected clubs in football. Comments like that say to me you have no understanding of the 'low life' (putting it mildly) the fans have had to oust from the club this past decade or more. I for one would choose relegation this season but retain a brilliant owner to putting the club up for sale and repeating the circle of arseholes who have owned PVFC previously.

  46. No . Too little too late. However might reignite some fans to renew season tickets and unite the fanbase . It had become toxic .

  47. No matter how much positive spin you put on things the last 18 months have been dire! Yes we will get the dedicated 3k crowd but it is going to be very difficult to get much of the extra 3k to renew there season tickets. This season has really set the club back to square one. After January 23 you would have thought lessons would have been learnt! To make the same stupid and predictable mistake again beggars belief?

  49. This is wonderful news that she’s actually opened her eyes and seen what we are all seeing. It’s been a car crash of an 18 months for Flitcroft. What we have to do now is unite. If we don’t win another game this season and go down then that’s not on Darren Moore. He’s been left with an absolute shower of a squad. If he keeps us up it will be a miracle. What I will say, is that whilst this should have been done a long time ago, it’s happened. We can’t change the past. But we can shape our future. And by getting rid of him today, it gives us more time to plan for the summer and give that transfer window to someone who actually knows what they are doing, regardless which league we are in next season. Todays news is a big positive moving forward and lessons MUST be learnt so that this shambles never happens again. Finally, let’s see these players, on Saturday, put in a massive shift, leave everything out on the pitch and sweat blood and tears for the shirt. Those that cross that white line can’t hide behind the fans anger at Flitcroft anymore. There is no hiding place for them. Stand up and be counted for like proper men.
