From strength to strength . Quite siimply, what a club! Even through our success in the nineties, I've never felt prouder of what Port Vale now represent and the lives we are touching. Daren't even dream of the rolling impact if the results on the field follow.7 points

Let's just keep in mind that we'll lose games this season, and there won't be too many more difficult games than Exeter away, so let's not lose our minds if we get beat. This season will largely be about how react to defeats. I really don't see any side having it easy against us though if we turn up. If we're behind in games we have a bench to be able to change things around. It's the strongest bench we've had since the last century, in my opinion.5 points

Smart kit and great community focused video. Delivers the message we are in this together and are much more than a football team now.4 points

The video is fantastic. Just shows how far we've come from the dark days a few years back.4 points

It's a great third kit and an even better video. Blimey, we ought to go into advertising. Blow the football. The PR team has done a marvellous job. Amazingly good. Well done all those involved. 11/10.3 points

Why no away fans? Hypothetically, a Vale fan can't watch Vale away at Stoke but can travel to work in Manchester. An exiled fan in London can travel to Vale Park to watch a Home game. I am now thinking that virus restrictions are causing more damage than the virus itself.3 points

Oh my!!! That's the hat-trick! I like the subtlety of the design from the first kit showing through, and that shade of green is pretty vibrant! Let's hope it's inspirational, too!2 points

That video is is brilliant and a credit to the club, I despair at the current situation with Covid, just as we get owners that get our club on an even keel, and lets face it probably the envy of a lot of clubs, restrictions happen and stop us from really enjoying turning up to Vale Park and watching a match. One day.1 point

Joel Grant has signed for Swindon. Im far happier with McKirdy. Very strange window especially with Ross McCormack signing for Aldershot!!!1 point

We've had a better 11 as obviously we were in League One for a time, but still don't recall us ever having such a strong squad or subs bench.1 point

I wouldn’t go that far on the bench... we’ve spend a far few seasons in league 1 and done well so it was obviously much stronger then. Agree RE the match. It’s a tough game, one of the toughest and I would take a point now no question. If we are looking to go up this year we do need to be picking points up in games such as this. I’d make 1 change with montano in at left back as not been overly impressed with Fitzpatrick as of it. Expect askey to keep the winning 11 though. 1-1 Rodney to score1 point

I thought the no away fans was more to do with the restricted capacity’s rather than the travelling?1 point

I would be happy with a draw here anything more than that would be fantastic1 point

In football sometimes you get the run of the ball sometimes you don’t. If we’d scored with a lucky wicked deflection instead of them, Askey would be a hero.1 point

Will be happy with a draw, a win would be brilliant in what I hope is an early 6 pointer. Brown Mills Smith Legge Monty Whitehead Joyce Conlon Wozza Cullen Rodders1 point

I for one think Askey did absolutely the right thing with the team last night. The League Cup has never been kind to us and we’ve had two difficult away draws, plus what’s the point of having a plum tie against Everton when you can’t go and see it?? Last year we had a good 11, this year we’ve got a strong 22+ and all of those players will want game time otherwise there will be some discontent which we don’t want. That is the trade off. Last night was arguably the least important game of the season for me but one where we’ve seen a battling generally performance against strong o1 point

We've reviewed the Crawley game! Kudos to Bez for saying Crawley were poor, he was spot on! Was it a pen/red card for the Smith incident? Stu, Bezza and Jonny discuss the incidents and the game, before previewing the League Cup game v Fleetwood on Tuesday! All available on Apple, Google and Spotify podcasts (Plus many more). Also here https://aleandthevale.podbean.com What did everyone think of the game? And our chances for the Fleetwood game?1 point

To be fair he was smug when he said it was 100% not McKirdy, like a lot on here who think because they are close to the club and think they know more than us mere mortals !!1 point
