  1. Heard a few tit-bits about this signing today. The management at Salford didn't want to lose him but were told he had to be let go to finance the signing of Andrade, Elliott and Wilson in January. All 3 are on mega wages and they had to reduce the money spent on attacking players to release funds for elsewhere in the squad. They had 4 other attacking players under contract beyond the end of 2019/20, so losing Rodney was seen as the sacrifice they had to make financially for the January transfers. Rodney turned down several offers since the turn of the year (with transfer fees attached) after h

  2. Started tonight. I take it this is a new thing due to the pandemic. Wouldn't mind Harrogate or Halifax myself for a new away day.

  5. Open top bus celebrating their survival. Bryn, Ange the squash player and Martin Smith guests of honour. Should be a fun day out, be there or be square. Ps Champions next season, I've been told in good faith the Jamieson's swiller is a top manager

  9. He most probably is yes as I believe he's a prolific poster on there. He is an acquaintance rather than a mate but obviously you and he have had your differences . He is actually a very decent bloke, just sadly supports the wrong team. Got a lot of time for him.

  12. They are the most fragile supporters in club football. The weakest chinned, the most fickle, the most bluntly demanding. They don’t care about us at all and the multiple anti Vale threads that run into hundreds of pages don’t count so shut up. Schrödingers shlt fan. The peculiar phenomenon where shlt fans simultaneously don't think about but also incessantly, agonisingly, obsessively comment on the Vale. The quick selling out of 4500 tickets for a boycotted tinpot trophy that Vale fans missed never happened and nor did the subsequent drubbing on and off the pitch. It never happened,

  13. Exactly. Wycombe, with the smallest budget in the division, go up. Sunderland, with the largest budget, don't even make the Play-offs.

  14. If there were no away supporters we could easily accommodate our normal home crowd,8/900 in the Hamil, same for Bycars , Railway stand and Railway paddock, then possibly a few less in the Lorne st. the problem in any ground will be the toilets and snack bars.

  15. Its broken. Well and truly shafted. Club overspends - 120% of their revenue on wages alone, before you add in coaches, staff, scouting, commerical etc. This is funded via directors loans which could be called in at any point (or used to hold the club at ransom, cough cough Norm), outrageous examples of selling grounds to the owner, or simply kicking the can down the road to the next year and hoping a cup run plugs the gaps. Let's say 6 teams engage in this practise; 2 reach the Prem, and 4 don't. Those 4 face sanctions, cut costs, probably plummet. Those 2 though; get a slice of
