  1. Past hour
  2. No. Can understand why. Small away end and big following expected.
  3. Anyone know if tickers are available on the day?
  4. It’s raw because of how it was done and our demise since. I don’t know the man personally but how he went from Carols go to guy, to leaving alone on the pitch, within 24 hours, should have sent red flags to everyone. We are down. The feeling I will have tomorrow won’t be anything near as the anger I had when Flitcroft and Crosby continually overstayed their welcome at this club. Almost all could see it. Apart from the person that matters. Bolton to score 4 or more tomorrow is 5-1. To score 5 or more is 12-1. To score 6 or more is 28-1. Lump on all three and there’s your season ticket for next season.
  5. Even though I reckon a good few of our players will be able to hold their own next season, some (Garrity, Chissy, Ripley) even top end of League 2. However, I do think that we need to break up parts of the squad in order to break up the lack of mental strength. No blood, new quality and a new belief.
  6. Oh he’s no Connor hall I agree with that 😆 Pretty sure he’ll do us a decent enough job in league 2. Think all our defence struggled with the step up. I’m not sure about Cass’ contract mate
  7. Today
  8. I dont rate him, though maybe he will be better in league 2. If i was to compare him to defenders we had in league 2, i would say he was more of an Aaron martin than a Connor hall. Im open minded about cass. i was pleased when he signed but he didnt quite make the grade in league 1. Is he still in contract?
  9. Yes, The SC has a committee of around 12. Back under V2001, we had a ‘sub board’ exactly like that described in that article. It consisted of a couple of original V2001 steering group members, 2 SC reps, a couple of VaST reps (I was one), a couple from the ex-players association and a couple of others. It later morphed into the Port Vale Volunteers’ Group, and I was secretary for several years. It had some relative success actually, not least because it brought together fans’ groups that, at that time, had some awful relations with each other. The politics back in those days were horrendous. Now, we only have the Supporters’ Club, that recently became a trust, then North London Valiants and Super Vale Abroad, that both have links with the SC. Thankfully there are no warring factions anymore amongst fans’ groups.
  10. It’s sadly looking a matter of time before Port Vale’s relegation is sealed especially as they have to travel to Bolton who still have a chance of automatic promotion. Here’s our preview… Preamble Any hope that Vale fans had of the club staying up looked to have been destroyed following the disappointing home defeat to […] The post Bolton Wanderers v Port Vale preview – top versus bottom with Valiants approaching trapdoor appeared first on onevalefan.co.uk. 11. Sorry bud, I know you weren't slagging him off, apologies to you fellow Valiant.
  12. Scrapping FA Cup replays sucks bigtime, some of my most memorable moments supporting Vale are from FA Cup replays. It seems like the decision was made "Solely between the FA and the Premier League" and if so should be overturned and reviewed and overturned. Statements like, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said his responsibility is to "protect our players" show a lack of knowledge about the FA Cup and English football history. The answer is simple for EPL clubs involved in Europe, put out your 2nd string payers, FFS you horde enough of them or even don't enter the competition. What happened to the saying, "Football is all about the fans". https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/68856480
  13. Yes all those pints have been essential this season.
  14. Still raw after a year? Sorry, but are you related to the guy or have you gone soft? What will be raw is the feeling I’m likely to have at full time tomorrow barring some sort of fluke, not an ex-employee, albeit well regarded, from a year past.
  15. The yak will be fine for league 2 level. Yes he’s clumsy at times but he’s also had some very good games this season in league 1. What about Cass he’s proven himself to be ok in that division before?
  16. As was alluded to in an earlier post, please do not waste £2 on a lottery ticket as you will win far more putting the £2 on the Vale to win. With very generous odds of 270,887,923 to 1 it's a steal. Of £2.
  17. While Ojo would be good in league 2, his attitude absolutely stinks. He’s downed tools two seasons in a row now, and can do one as far as im concerned. What’s more worrying is how many people would keep sang. The only defender i would keep through choice is smith, as hes proven at league 2 level and Clarke if he can stay fit. The rest are genuinely atrocious.
  18. Interesting points there Leedsv but I think if you saw Rico a little more often I think you'd.probably change your opinion? We are nowhere near an absolutely huge club but other than the Two Manchester and two Scouse clubs we are the biggest and best supported of the Lancashire clubs. Burnley are currently marginally ahead of our average gate due to the large away followings in the PL otherwise like Preston and Blackburn they be way behind us. Like all clubs we have some dick fans and you obviously found one and heard others making silly chants but the one point I can fully agree with is your view of Ian Evatt. He even winds us up with his stubbornness and ridiculous and embarrassing statements. Can’t knock what he’s done here so far though so I’ll let him off for being a plonker sometimes. 😁
  19. It will be life changing, I’ll have a heart attack from the shock.
  20. If you want to win a life changing amount of money back Vale to score two or three!!
  21. well. they should get the goal difference sorted!!!!!!!!!!😁
  22. Great suggestion but is it not in place already via the Port Vale Supporters Club. If it isn't it should be and my vote would be to do this via The Chairman of the Port Vale Supporters Club and one or two of the Supporters Club committee if there is one.
  23. Very well said, Warren. Darren has been in charge for three months. His coaching staff have been in place for a month and a half. They inherited a squad of players whose weaknesses are, without belabouring the point, self-evident for all to see. And they did so with no opportunity to change or add to that squad. Pep Guardiola and his Man City coaching staff would have also struggled to turn this situation around on those terms. However this season turns out, Darren and his coaching staff merit a good close season transfer window and a long pre-season preparation in which to work with the revised squad. The first half of next season is the testing period that will begin to show what they can do for Port Vale FC.
  24. Maybe Patrick can put "Despondency, Hopelessness, Sadness, Misery, Unhappiness, Gloom, Joylessness, Discouragement" onto the back of the shirts next season rather than "Want. Need. Expect"
  25. Yeah... They are really going to risk forfeiting automatic promotion on the offchance Derby don't screw up!
