  1. Past hour
  2. More like they got in a ruck & blew each other off! Twisted individuals
  3. I think so but Ripley and Gaz was well upset after . Usual crap I guess
  4. Be nice to think they had some fight in them but I doubt it. Suspect can give it the same credibility as the Wilson and Harrison rumoured fight from a year ago.
  5. Will be nonsense. No fight in this group of players. we've seen that for 8 months.
  6. I see rumours are doing the rounds that there was a ruck with the playes in dressing room and it blew over on the team coach . It on twitter if true it’s worry or not?
  7. If he is going to be retained, Dipepa needs to start regularly. I know we are unhappy with our strikers, and rightly so, but actually there is goals in Dipepa, Garrity and Chislett as forwards with another proven goal scorer at L1 / 2 being brought in as striker. So that leaves Wilson, Uche and Loft. If Uche could be got fully fit after a pre season I think he could be quite a force at L2 level. Wilson has to go because his contract is up and he's injury prone. Loft has another year, but surely a deal could be done to let him move elsewhere. What I'm proposing here doesn't break the bank. Then move back through the team. I think like Dipepa, Walters must play regularly and so too Plant and Shorrock. Ojo could be a classic older holding midfield player operating at L2 level. And then to the myriad of defenders we have. Oh God, I think the Exeter game was the final straw for me. Need a clear out. The trouble with clear outs is that it does cost. And attracting L1 defenders to a now L2 club won't be easy and has risk. I think it would help to stop playing wing backs and end up with 433. To me we will start off with a better team going forward and need to fix the back end most. I do think there is an issue with a lack of controlled aggression and physicality particularly defensively. I trust in Darren Moore.
  8. That’s a very good point! You can take Uche off that list he can’t jump he somehow ends up smaller in height when he jumps than when he’s standing still 🤣 The rest are all decent in the air but as you say the delivery has been terrible. I’d have Grant & Chizzy on the corners in swinging. Grant is decent enough from dead ball situations but for some reason we persist with Sang 🤷‍♂️
  9. It’s embarrassing in general how bad we are at set pieces. At times we’ve had in the box on corners: Loft, Uche, Garrity, Smith, Debrah and Iacovitti. Very few teams, if any, have the height to combat that. Should have taken more advantage of it.
  10. Agree he has got more of a reputation but this will be less should we do poorly next season. Not sure he will know who to bring in, he’s never managed in division 2 before and I don’t know what his contacts are like- we will see.
  11. Today
  12. Indeed I hope you're right as if we do again what we did this season there's no doubt in my mind we're heading for the national league😬. More poor or lack of signings will also lead to lower ST and matchday sales and thus starts the vicious circle!
  13. Haven't read all the thread so apologies if I'm repeating. My take on it is we can't keep sacking managers as that will show there are serious issues to how the club is being run and would put off potential new managers as a result(hire and fire club sort of thing). I'm not saying Moore has been good(yet) either but there are obvious caveats there for all to see if you wish to defend him. It's also rubbish imo to suggest Crosby would have done any better, he was dreadfully out of his depth and but for the League Cup run could and should have gone much earlier. He also had the benefit of 2 class young lads/underage internationals in midfield and we were still losing games and playing poor football. All that said we know the root of the problems lies in rank bad recruitment and I think Moore at least deserves the chance to shape a squad during the close season.
  14. Not too shabby with a rolling ball. His corners have been embarrassing though
  15. It's no good signing strikers when you are conceding two and three goals a game! Get some defenders in !
  16. @Doha this is a thread about next season, 2024-2025. If Darren and his staff do as expected in signings for next season, then there will be new strikers leading the line. But Ryan Loft will, on the balance of probability, still be a paid member of the squad throughout the season. So it makes financial and sporting sense, in the context of a 55-game season, to make the most of what Loft can contribute, as and when necessary due to squad rotation and injury.
  17. Pissing so much money up the wall on Ryan Loft wasn't a sensible use of a finite budget. If he's still leading the line next season good luck with ticket sales.
  18. Surely on them stats we have to do everything we can to keep Uche & Wilson 😂
  19. There's already a need for two new senior strikers to add to the squad at significant cost, more than £200K p.a. (plus any transfer fees). You're suggesting spending a further £100K+ to pay up an existing striker. And then spending a further £100K+ wages (plus any transfer fee) to sign a third new striker. Not a sensible use of a finite budget when other areas of the squad are also in need of renewing.
  20. Half of them give pub players a bad name
  21. I'm not. 1 goal in 29, less career goals than one of our centre halves who's still in his 20s. Pay him up and replace.
