Will Port Vale be interested after Bolton “move on” from Dennis Politic?
Comments from manager Ian Evatt seem to suggest that Port Vale loanee Dennis Politic’s time at the University of Bolton stadium could be coming to an end.
Politic joined the Vale on a season-long loan but there has been speculation that Bolton could recall the player in the January transfer window. However, when questioned about the forward, Evatt commented that the club would not be recalling him from his loan spell and would “move on”.
As Politic has turned down a new deal at Bolton and is out of contract at the end of the season, it could mean the player will not play for Wanderers again.
We offered Dennis a contract, he didn’t sign the contract so we’ve drawn a line under that one and we’ll move on…
Evatt told the media: “No, we’ll not be recalling Dennis. We have other targets, we have other forward options and we offered Dennis a contract, he didn’t sign the contract so we’ve drawn a line under that one and we’ll move on.”
Politic has had some success at Vale Park, particularly when used as an impact sub and would be a popular signing among the fans. However, manager Darrell Clarke has remained tight-lipped about whether the club will attempt to bring in the youngster on a permanent basis.
The Romanian has played fifteen times for Vale, scoring five times and although he is yet to nail down a regular starting place, the 21 year-old has youth on his side while his versatility at being able to play on both flanks and upfront could also be in his favour.

I would love to see him back at Bolton. An exciting player, level headed and talented. Hugely disappointed he hasn’t signed up with us again at Bolton.
I’d say an excellent signing.

I would love for Vale to be in a position to sign him. Huge potential and has got fitter each week he has been with us.

not happening Ann. Looks like Dennis has a club in Serie B to go to. Maybe it is about money maybe just a different experience. Good luck anyway, no hard feelings.
