Journalist Matt Scrafton of the Blackpool Gazette newspaper tweeted to say he believed that Port Vale would be Garrity’s next destination, despite Blackpool taking up an option on extending the midfielder’s contract.
The Valiants are set to make substantial additions to their squad after releasing fifteen players at the end of the season and have already signed Shrewsbury Town midfielder Brad Walker.
24 year-old Garrity began his career in non-league before joining Blackpool in 2020. He spent a spell on loan with League Two rivals Oldham Athletic last season.
Scrafton tweeted:

For one reason or another, we never gave Ben a chance at Blackpool. He was bought from my home town club Warrington Town, where he was successful and very highly rated. He is a hard working player, who is still developing and I hope he will be a success at PV. Good luck Ben and The Vale for next season.
