The website claims:
Port Vale are set to sign Salford City defender Dan Jones on a free transfer, Football League World can exclusively reveal.
The player has already spent time away from Salford this season, in fact, with a loan spell coming at EFL new-boys Harrogate Town and it looks as though City boss Gary Bowyer is happy to let him leave this summer on a more permanent basis.
The Valiants are in the market for a number of players this summer after revealing their retained list earlier this month. However, only time will tell if the 26 year-old is indeed a Vale target. Should he join he would become the third former Salford player on the club’s books joining Devante Rodney and transfer-listed Danny Whitehead.
