A club statement confirmed:
Port Vale Football Club are delighted to announce the loan signing of Nottingham Forest striker Will Swan, who has signed with the Valiants until the end of the 2020/21 season.
Swan made his first team debut for Forest earlier in the season in a Sky Bet Championship clash with Swansea City, also featuring against Reading in late November.
He has been a regular fixture in the Forest under-23 side this season and is fourth in the goalscoring charts with seven goals in the Professional Development League North for his club so far this campaign.
He has experienced his first taste of regular senior football in January 2020, when he joined Truro City on an initial month’s loan, scoring a brace in his debut in a 4-0 win over Metropolitan Police.
He went on to score five goals in his first four appearances for Truro before the early curtailment of last season, finishing with a total of nine goals in nine appearances, proving why he is held in high regard within the Nigel Doughty Academy.
Port Vale hope that Will can continue his impressive development during his stay at the football club.
Welcome to the Vale, Will!
