Port Vale transfer target recalled and “available” for permanent move
Jake Taylor available on permanent deal: the Sentinel newspaper reports that Nottingham Forest midfielder is available for a permanent move during the January transfer deal.
Taylor had a successful loan spell at Port Vale last season. The Valiants tried to sign the player on a permanent deal that season but the bid was rejected.
The midfielder has since been on loan at Scunthorpe but Taylor’s agent, Phil Sproson, says the player has been recalled to his parent club and is now available on a permanent deal.
Sproson told the Sentinel: “Forest put a recall (option) in the loan there as they do for most of them. They have to trigger it for a certain date and they did.”
According to Sproson the next move for his client should be a permanent one. He added: “He needs to go permanently now because he has outgrown under-23s football. So, he has to find a permanent home and Forest have recognised that. In Forest’s eyes, and I tend to agree with them, there is a quality player there that can comfortably play in League One.”
According to the Sentinel, Sproson says three clubs have already shown an interest in the player.

He’d definitely be a good addition. Signing Taylor for a reasonable fee would be a good start but we also need a defender and a centre-forward too.

Yes bring him to Vale, and why not make a loan move for James Bolton, currently not playing at Portsmouth. He’s a local Stoke born player
