League Two picture for Port Vale moving into the new year
It appeared Port Vale were having a very positive season and could even push for promotion. This was due to making a strong start to the season and picking up a number of important early season results.
Everything appeared to be going well for Port Vale, but this has now changed, and promotion now looks like a more difficult task to achieve. The side finished last season in eighth position and just 12 points off the top, so this is why expectations were high of success this campaign. This saw them win 14 games, draw 15 and lose just eight in the league.
Fans following live scores at www.wetttippsheute.net have been hopeful of a successful run. This website covered up to date scores and bonuses and offers available, so has proven popular amongst fans across many different leagues this season.
The Football League two picture at present sees Port Vale sitting down in 11th position, following their recent slump in form. Following the opening 16 matches, they have won seven, drawn one and lost eight, so are still on course for a better finish that last season if they can return to some of the form they have shown in the early period of the campaign. However, Vale have now last five of their last six league games, since the Football league trophy victory over the Liverpool under-21’s.
This run started with a 4-3 home loss to Tranmere, with the away side dominating possession. How Port Vale lost the match we will never know, with Tranmere scoring goals in the 93rd and 96th minute to take the three points. Scunthorpe at home was next and this resulted in another 1-0 loss. Newport County away was the next fixture just four days later and it resulted in the same 1-0 loss result for the side. Just three days later and Vale were again beaten, due to a 2-1 away loss at Stevenage.
The end of November then saw Vale take on Leyton Orient at home, as they looked to return to form with a victory. However, despite a positive performance it resulted in a 3-2 loss to continue the difficult run of form. Port Vale then finally got back with some points most recently, as they won 6-3 away at Bolton. This was an eye-catching attacking performance, and the side will now be looking to continue this form and push back up the table come the early period of 2021.
