Team news: Manny Oyeleke starts for Port Vale against former club
Port Vale manager John Askey has selected his starting XI for the first away League Two game of the season
As expected there are mass changes from the Fleetwood League Cup tie which Askey said was used to give squad players some game time. The one change from the Crawley team is that former Exeter man Manny Oyeleke starts in midfield. He replaces Scott Burgess who drops to the bench.
Like the home game against Crawley Town, Askey has opted for striker Mark Cullen as his central striker, Scott Brown returns in goal while the likes of Leon Legge and Nathan Smith also return.
A strong Valiants bench includes recent signing Harry McKirdy and fit again Cristian Motano.
Port Vale starting XI:
Brown – Mills, Smith, Legge, Fitzpatrick – Joyce, Oyeleke, Conlon – Rodney, Cullen, Worrall
Subs:
Visser, Montano, Crookes, Whitehead, Burgess, McKirdy, Robinson
