100,000 up! Port Vale reach remarkable meal delivery milestone
Port Vale co-owner Carol Shanahan has announced that the football club have delivered their 100,000th meal during the global pandemic and lockdown.
Port Vale FC, Port Vale Foundation and the Hubb Foundation have been delivering the meals to families who need them throughout the local area.
The Shanahans aimed to cement Port Vale as the centre of the local community after buying the club and their efforts during these unprecedented times will have gone an awful long way to doing that. The club has received national attention for their tremendous community work.
Shanahan commented on Twitter saying: “Only in a few weeks we’ve managed to do that many which is amazing. We couldn’t have done it without the help of companies in the city, volunteers, the staff from my four companies and everyone else… We will be carrying on.”
Extremely proud to announce that our work during the current pandemic has reached the 100,000 meal milestone. @HUBBFoundation_ @PVFCFoundation @OfficialPVFC @Syn_Sol @Summit_Hosp pic.twitter.com/1iDHCK4cw3
