What are the rumours?
Twitter account EFLZone claims that Port Vale are one of a number of clubs interested in signing West Ham striker Dapo Afolayan on loan and the same Twitter account also says Port Vale are interested in signing released Burton Albion midfielder Ethan Vale.

Any more details on the players?
Oladapo Afolayan is a 22 year-old forward who has yet to make an appearance for the West Ham first-team. He moved to Canada in his teens and has had a spell with Toronto FC. He has also played for Barnet’s youth team and spent spells on loan with Oldham Athletic and Mansfield Town.
Burton youngster Ethan Vale is 19 years old and is reportedly a set-piece expert. He spent a loan spell with Newcastle Town last season and was named Burton’s scholar of the year in 2019.
Any legs in the rumours?
It’s frankly unlikely. There’s an awful lot of Twitter accounts firing out rumours and nearly all of them never take place. Earlier this month, Twitter account Unofficial Vale linked Vale to two non-league Welsh signings but they were swiftly denied by the club.
These transfer links are unlikely to be the last over the summer but only time will tell if the rumours have any legs in them. However, the Vale are likely to wait and see which players who have been offered contracts accept them them before they make any moves in the transfer market.DISCUSS PORT VALE RUMOURS HERE ON THE FORUM
