This photo comes from Port Vale’s pre-season tour of the USA and a match against Tacoma Tide. Ben Williamson watches on as midfielder Sam Morsy battles for the ball. The youngster had broken into the first team during the 2010-11 season and would go on to be a regular in the 2011-12 season. He also featured regularly in 2012-13 before falling foul of manager Micky Adams after being dismissed against Rochdale. He was not included for six weeks as his relationship with Adams broke down. He rejected a new contract in 2013 and left the club. He has since played the majority of his career in the Championship including over a hundred games for Wigan Athletic.
