Former International trio set to give Port Vale reserves a tough test
Port Vale’s reserves will face a tough task on Tuesday afternoon as they take on an experienced West Bromwich Albion line-up.
According to the Birmingham media, Albion trio Gareth Barry, Chris Brunt and Kieran Gibbs will stake their claim for a first-team spot when they play for the reserves in the game.
Both Gibbs and Barry have England caps while club captain Brunt has 65 Northern Ireland caps.
It also gives the Valiants a chance to give players such as Tom Conlon and Will Atkinson more match time as they recover from injuries.
The Central League clash will be played behind closed doors.
