Port Vale defender Nathan Smith praises club’s new owners
Defender Nathan Smith says he thinks the club’s new owners “couldn’t have done a better job” in the short space of time they have been in charge.
Kevin and Carol Shanahan took over in early summer and Smith says there is a “feel good” factor around the club as the new owners make improvements.
I think they couldn’t have done a better job with the short space of time they’ve had…
He told the official Port Vale website: “I think everyone knows there’s been a lot of change. There’s that feel good factor around the club and I’ve got to say Carol and Kevin have come in and done a tremendous job.
“They’ve changed things from the changing rooms, the stands, to the way the clubs run. I think they couldn’t have done a better job with the short space of time they’ve had.
“Even stupid things like painting walls where they used to be flaking off, it’s just brightened up the whole club again. People are walking around the stadium with smiles on their faces and I think everyones days a lot better. It makes coming in a lot easier and makes it a more enjoyable environment.”
