Huddersfield Town confirm signing of Port Vale youngster

Huddersfield Town have confirmed the signing of teenage Port Vale winger Luke Daley (pictured left).

The official Huddersfield Town website confirmed:

Daley, 16, is an attack-minded, left-sided player who is comfortable on the wing or at full-back.

He joins from the Port Vale Academy, signing an initial two-year scholarship and joining up with Town’s Under-17 squad, led by Jon Worthington.

Cheshire Schoolboys captain Daley has been compared to Ryan Giggs and has been in the Vale junior ranks for eight years. The Valiants will earn a compensation fee for the transfer.

Huddersfield have also signed Kai Herbert from Morecambe (pictured right).
