Former Valiants: trio of former forwards in the news
News on some former Valiants – Alex Jones, Donovan Wilson, Jordan Hugill and Remie Streete…
Former Birmingham City striker Alex Jones was a rare success during the ill-fated 2016-2017 season. After spells with Bradford City and Cambridge United, the striker has moved to Scotland and signed a deal with Scottish Championship side Partick Thistle.
Another former Vale loanee, Wolves striker Donovan Wilson is wanted by Spanish club Jumilla, where he spent a spell on loan last season.
Jordan Hugill provided one of the biggest transfer fees the club has ever received. His sell on clause was activated when Premier League West Ham purchased him from Preston North End. Now reports suggest that the striker is set to return to Preston after failing to break into the first-team at the Hammers.
Defender Remie Streete impressed at Vale Park until he suffered a serious injury. Since then, he has failed to find another club but the popular central defender is now on trial at National League newcomers Notts County.
