Port Vale set to sign second striker?
Port Vale are set to sign a second striker in January transfer window, the local newspaper the Sentinel reports.
The Valiants recently added Cardiff City striker Mark Harris on loan for the remainder of the 2018-19 season.
However, with top-scorer Tom Pope injured, forward Dior Angus on loan to National League side Barrow and recent signing Danny Elliott inexperienced at this level, Port Vale are seeking further recruits as they bid to move clear of the League Two relegation zone.
The newspaper claims that a new Port Vale signing may not be sealed before Saturday’s game against Carlisle United but may be in place for Tuesday’s fixture against Newport County.
Vale have also added Nottingham Forest defender Adam Crookes, Elliott and Harris so far during the January 2019 transfer window.
