New striker trains with Port Vale and is set to sign on Tuesday
Port Vale manager Neil Aspin has said that a new striker has trained with the club on Monday and is set to sign on Tuesday.
Aspin told the Sentinel newspaper: “We have had a striker who has trained with us today, we are hoping to bring him in on loan. We are doing the paperwork today so he should be, hopefully, signed tomorrow and then he will be available for Saturday.”
The Sentinel adds that it understands that the forward is a young Premier League player who has already played in the Checkatrade Trophy.
It means that if the player does sign he will not be able to play in Tuesday night’s Checkatrade Trophy game against Bristol Rovers.
