Port Vale “not complacent” but are hoping Cheltenham game will go ahead
Port Vale CEO Colin Garlick has said the club are working hard to ensure the game against Cheltenham Town is able to take place.
The away stand at Vale Park suffered extensive damage estimated at up to £100,000 following the visit of Stoke City U21s in the Checkatrade Trophy.
Vale’s main concern is damage to the PA system which is a key safety requirement and repair works are underway.
Garlick told the Sentinel newspaper: “We are certainly working towards the game absolutely being on but we are not complacent.
“But we are focused on trying to get the game on, we will do everything we possibly can.”
