Port Vale loanee earns praise from opponent for “quality” display
York City goalkeeper Adam Bartlett reserved special praise for Port Vale loanee Dior Angus after their draw with Nuneaton.
The two sides played out a 2-2 draw on Tuesday with Angus netting twice to take his tally to five goals in nine games.
He’ll be a big player for them if he carries on in that type of form…
After the game, Bartlett told the local media: “He caused us problems all night. He was a decent player and nearly caught me off-guard a couple of times, because I didn’t expect him to shoot from where he was or with the quality of the strikes and he’ll be a big player for them if he carries on in that type of form.”
24 year-old Angus joined Vale on an eighteen month contract last season and has scored once for the senior team.
Another Vale player, midfielder Mike Calveley, is also on loan at Nuneaton whose stadium is owned by Port Vale owner Norman Smurthwaite.
