Former Port Vale manager is linked with League Two rivals
Former Port Vale manager Michael Brown is reportedly one of the leading contenders to take the vacant Macclesfield Town manager’s role.
The role is free after Mark Yates was sacked on Monday following a winless start to the season.
Brown has been out of football since he was sacked by the Valiants last season. He had taken over from Bruno Ribeiro in December 2016.
Former Valiants player Danny Whitaker is reportedly another contender for the role.
