Port Vale defender ruled out of action after motorway accident
Left-back Graham Kelly was ruled out of action for loan club Southport after he was involved in an accident on the M6 motorway.
The young defender was ruled out of the weekend game and is also set to miss Southport’s fixture on Tuesdy evening.
Southport manager, former Bolton and England striker Kevin Davies told the media: “Graham was involved in a quite serious accident on the M6 last Monday so we are guided by the medical advice really.
“So, I think Tuesday will possibly be too soon for him based on the advice we are taking from the hospital, doctors and the physios.”
Kelly has tweeted to say he is alright following the accident.
The defender has made five appearances for Southport – his second loan spell this season – after he spent an earlier period with Bradford Park Avenue.
