Goalkeeper Sam Hornby set to return to Port Vale
National League strugglers Chester have indicated that they will not be able to renew deals for any of the club’s loan players.
It means that Vale keeper Sam Hornby, who has been a regular since joining the club on loan could return to Vale Park.
The 22 year-old joined Vale in the summer and has made five senior appearances for the Valiants.
He joined Chester in December and has made five appearances for them.
However, Chester manager Marcus Bignott has told the local media: “We’ll be losing players in January in terms of loan players going back.
“The players we’ll be looking to will be our youngsters – a Matty Waters and a Tom Crawford. That’s where we are.”
