Smurthwaite: I am the owner of the club and I take responsibility
Port Vale owner Norman Smurthwaite has told BBC Radio Stoke has said he takes responsibility for the decisions taken since the departure of Micky Adams.
Smurthwaite told the radio station that “The club has gone backwards since Micky Adams has left, I am the owner of the club and I take responsibility.”
He added: “All of the costs that were involved with the Bruno appointment, I have paid those mistakes as a donation not in a loan.”
Smurthwaite also claimed that the club would not be “threatened with administration” while he is owner.
