Striker says Vale will bounce back from Rovers defeat
Port Vale forward Martin Paterson has hailed the good atmosphere at the club and says Vale will bounce back from their defeat to Bristol Rovers.
Paterson, who scored Vale’s goal told the media: “There is no good thing about a defeat, but we have a game on Tuesday and we will be right at it against Millwall because we are hurting.
We are doing okay at the moment and I think we will improve…
“This is a new team put together quickly and we have got some good results. We are a young team with a few experienced boys and we also have to integrate all the different cultures and nationalities.
“So, we are doing okay at the moment and I think we will improve.
“The atmosphere in the dressing room is very different to what I have experienced in my career. There is a very big family feel. We are hurting after a defeat but we know, with no disrespect to the opposition that we have only ourselves to blame. We know it is within us to have dominated that game and possibly scored more.”
