Loan news: Dan Turner nets debut double
Striker Dan Turner scored twice on his full debut for Kidsgrove Athletic on Saturday.
Turner joined Athletic on loan this week and was named in the starting eleven for the game against Chasetown.
Turner opened the scoring and scored again in the second-half before being replaced by former Vale man Jonny Kapend. Kidsgrove who also included former Valiants Tom Morris and Ross Davidson eventually won 5-0.
Ryan Boot was another Valiant to go on loan this week and he started for Worcester City in another former Valiant friendly line-up. Amongst Boot’s team mates were Chekaine Steele and Lee Hughes. Worcester won 3-0 with Steele named man of the match.
Sam Johnson started as Gateshead beat Braintree 4-1 and Ryan Lloyd played the 90 minutes as Chester drew 0-0 with Aldershot.
