Port Vale fans are expecting news of a new winger as the club wait for International clearance for the move to proceed.
Chairman Norman Smurthwaite has said that the club have agreed terms with a new winger but the club are awaiting “International clearance”. The Valiants have made no secret of their intention to add another winger to their squad ahead of Wednesday’s transfer deadline.
In response to questions from fans Smurthwaite tweeted:

Vale could also look to finalise the loan move of Benfica goalkeeper Miguel Santos whose protracted move has also been held up by red tape.
The Valiants may also look to move players out on loan although that is more likely to happen after clubs finalise their deadline day business and then look to fine-tune their squads with loan signings.
