Bruno Ribeiro impressed with Port Vale trialist Anton Forrester
Port Vale manager Bruno Ribeiro has admitted he was impressed with the performance of on trial striker Anton Forrester.
Forrester is a free agent after being released by Blackburn Rovers and scored twice in the pre-season friendly against Newcastle Town.
Ribeiro told the media: “He is a good player and I am very happy with him. He worked with me for a week and today he was very good. He had good movement which I like for a striker.”
If Forrester were to join it would mean Vale would possess five strikers next season in Forrester, JJ Hooper, Rigino Cicilia, Carlos Sameira and rookie Dan Turner.
