Vale captain unsure of future after “big” paycut
Port Vale skipper Carl Dickinson has admitted that he has a “big decision to make” after Vale’s latest contract offer included a “big pay cut.”
Dickinson told the Sentinel: “I have been offered a deal and it is a big cut. So, I will be completely honest, I have some decisions to make.
You never know, things might happen yet. But if it doesn’t, I can’t thank Port Vale enough for what they have done for me…
“I have a family and kids to think about. It is going to be a difficult summer for me, I have to sit down and evaluate a lot of things. I can only be as honest as that.
“Port Vale have been fantastic with me, I came from ‘the other side’, but everybody has been perfect with me and I can’t thank people enough.
