BBC Radio Stoke: No Vale contact with Accrington’s John Coleman
BBC Radio Stoke’s Lee Blakeman says that Vale chairman Norman Smurthwaite has not made any contact with John Coleman.
Coleman, who boasts a hugely admirable record at Accrington is one of the favourites to replace Rob Page as Port Vale manager.
The Accrington manager, who took his side to the League Two play-offs this season is currently joint second-favourite to be the next Vale boss.
Coleman would be suited to working on tight budget and a potential appointment appears to have drawn a favourable response from Vale fans. However, Blakeman tweeted that:
Port #Vale chairman @smurfpvfc has confirmed that no contact has been made with Accrington's John Coleman about the #PVFC managers job.
