More Port Vale youngsters head out on loan
Port Vale youngsters Jonathon Kapend and Chekaine Steele have joined Stafford Rangers and Buxton on month-long loans.
The loan of the duo takes the number of Vale players out on loan to six with Nathan Smith, Adam Yates, Lewis Bergin and Aziz Deen-Conteh already on loan elsewhere.
Both players will remain at the respective non-league sides until Saturday 26th September.
Kapend and Steele signed their first professional contracts with Vale during the summer following impressive campaigns at youth and reserve level.
Manager Rob Page told port-vale.co.uk: “This is a great opportunity for Jonathon and Chekaine to go out and play regularly at senior level.
“I’ve stressed how important it can be for young players to experience men’s football and that’s exactly what these two need.
“They’re both players with bright futures and we’re looking forward to developing them as much as we can to benefit the football club.”
