Jack Lowe player profile:
Jack Lowe was a long-serving Port Vale right-winger who joined the club in 1923. Derbyshire-born Lowe had begun his career at Sheffield Wednesday and also had a further spell at Chesterfield before he made his first senior football appearances for Bolton Wanderers. However, after just five appearances for Bolton he moved on to Port Vale in May 1923.
After joining the Valiants, Lowe soon became a regular first-team pick and he made 128 consecutive appearances between April 1924 and March 1927.
He eventually lost his Port Vale first-team place in September 1927 and after a five year stay at the club he was given a free-transfer in May 1928.
After leaving Vale, the winger moved on to have brief spells with Oldham Athletic and Rotherham United before eventually retiring from playing in 1930. He ended his playing career with 185 appearances – the vast majority of them for Port Vale FC.
