Defender Nathan Smith is second player to agree a new contract
Young central defender Nathan Smith has become the second player to commit himself to the Valiants.
Smith is yet to make a first-team appearance but is highly regarded by the club.
He spent a successful spell on loan at Stafford Rangers last season and has now agreed a new two-year deal.
Manager Rob Page told the official Port Vale website: “Nathan is an extremely talented defender and his time out on loan last season proved he is comfortable with competing against senior players,” the Vale boss said.
“He has a lot of potential and is someone we’re excited about developing having come from the club’s academy through to the seniors.”
