Mark Snijders player profile:
Mark Snijders was a classy Dutch central defender who was signed from AZ by John Rudge in 1997.
However, Snijders was dogged by injury problems while at the club.
When fit he was generally first-choice and impressed the supporters with some classy play at the back.
However, it was no surprise when he was released by John Rudge’s successor Brian Horton after the defender’s contract expired.
He then moved back to Holland to play football there.
