All B******t – Norman’s reply to Barnsley
Vale owner Norman Smurthwaite hasn’t minced his words when responding to Barnsley’s suggestion that Vale haven’t replied to an enquiry about Tom Pope.
Barnsley have been linked with the striker despite Vale’s insistence that no contact has been made with the club and a tweet from a Barnsley-based journalist has sparked Smurthwaite’s ire.
Peter Spencer of BBC Radio Sheffield tweeted:
#BarnsleyFC boss Danny Wilson says any hope of bringing in Tom Pope looks to be "dead in the water" says Port Vale never got back to him.

To which Smurthwaite replied with the forthright:
@1Haze10 @_PeterSpencer To get back to someone you have to receive a call text letter fax or pigeon carrier, none received so all BULLS==T
