Valiants may make striker move
Port Vale could sign another striker before January’s transfer window closes, the Sentinel reports.
Vale could lose Louis Dodds to injury while Alex Nimely is on trial at Bolton and may move to the Championship side. It means Vale have only Ben Williamson, Tom Pope, Dany N’Guessan and Achille Campion as their recognised strikers.

Chairman Norman Smurthwaite told the newspaper: “We are hoping to look at two strikers at two different clubs, but there is a lot of competition at one club in particular. There are a couple of opportunities we are looking at.”
“We need something from a striking point of view. We were limp on Saturday, which is a nice way of putting it.
“So, I feel we need some attacking options. We have got some but I don’t know if they are ready to come in and hold a first team position for the rest of the season – Achille Campion scored a couple more goals in the reserve game.”
