Port Vale defender breaks his arm
Port Vale have announced that defender Ryan McGivern has broken his arm and faces six weeks out of action.
The news is unfortunate for the Northern Ireland International who had forced his way back into the first-team in recent matches.
He has had to have a plate in his arm, so we will have to wait and see how long the healing time is for that…
Manager Rob Page told the press: “It’s not great news for him. He has fractured his arm and the reasons we waited to put that out were because we have had to see the extent of it.
“He has had to have a plate in his arm, so we will have to wait and see how long the healing time is for that.
“We wish him all the best and a speedy recovery. Anything with a break is normally six weeks but we are hoping he can get back sooner than that if he can play with a protective covering.”
