Adams targets two more signings
The Sentinel claims that Micky Adams wants two new additions to his squad before the transfer window closes.
The news is somewhat of a surprise with most fans believing that the budget would only stretch to the addition of another forward. However, Adams also wants to add another defender to his ranks. According to the newspaper, the availability of a defender who Adams rates has raised the possibility of a double swoop.
The additional signings will almost certainly be funded personally by owner Norman Smurthwaite who recently revealed that he has doubled his personal investment into the club this season.
Vale have already had a successful summer bringing in Steve Jennings, Michael O’Connor, Byron Moore, Mark Marshall, Freddie Veseli, Ryan McGivern, Michael Brown and Colin Daniel into the squad.
