Adams into managerial top ten list
It’s probably a sign of the times that Micky Adams’ current three year spell at Vale Park has lifted him into ninth place in English football’s longest-serving managers’ list.
While John Rudge was engaged in his fifteen season association with the Valiants, it was second-nature to regard him as one of the country’s longest-serving bosses. However, with clubs increasingly giving managers less and less time at the helm, Adams’ compartively short spell still means that he is in one of English football’s most-secure management roles.
And it goes without saying, that we hope to see the Port Vale boss climb even further up the top ten.
