Twin wing attack for Vale?
Manager Micky Adams says he plans to deploy two wingers next season in an attacking tactical change.
Adams now has Byron Moore, Mark Marshall, Colin Daniel, Ryan Lloyd and Chris Birchall at his disposal wheras last season, Jennison Myrie-Williams was often deployed as a lone winger.
Adams told the Sentinel: “I think when I first came to the club we didn’t have any wingers.
We are hoping that the three we have brought in will mean good competition for places and will excite people…
“But the John Rudge era, with the likes of Steve Guppy, showed us that if you have a big pitch like ours then you have to try to utilise it as best you can.
“That for me means wingers. We are hoping that the three we have brought in will mean good competition for places and will excite people.”
