In an ‘exclusive’ video, we caught manager Micky Adams and chairman Norman Smurthwaite in a positive mood ahead of the new season.
There have been rumours that the pair did not see eye-to-eye, something that has been denied by both parties.
However, this footage, which appears to have been taken during Micky’s training for his recent charity bicycle ride, will probably show the duo in a surprising new light.

Our ‘unique’ video also shows an unusual method employed by Norman to persuade Micky to remain at the club.
The pair certainly seem to be excited to be working with each other and are clearly looking forward to a flourishing partnership at Vale Park.
However, we do feel that either Micky or Norman needs to have a word with Steve Speed about the state of the Vale Park pitch. Those daisies could obscure the pitch markings…
