No malware on OVF – an update
Our apologies to any affected or concerned by messages claiming malware was present on this site. There is no malware on OVF’s servers.

We have communicated with various anti-virus organisations and they now confirm that OVF is perfectly safe.
We believed at the time of these “malware affected” messages that this was caused by one of our advertising partners – Mad Ads Media – and this was confirmed by a message from them received on Sunday morning in which Mad Ads Media confirmed that their adverts had caused this malware notice. OVF was one of 8% of Mad Ad Media users to be affected.
At no point, do we believe that any malware was present on OVF’s servers, but that rogue advert formats caused this problem. If you want to ensure you haven’t been infected with malware, we would strongly recommend you download and run this free software:

OVF sincerely apologises for any inconvenience caused by this. We have sent a written complaint to Mad Ads Media and have cancelled our agreement with them. There will be no more of their adverts on this site and we will instead only use adverts from trusted companies such as Google.
