Adams: performances must improve

Manager Micky Adams says that if performances don’t improve then he will “try and get people in that might be able to do things better.”

We have got to do things better, and if we can’t so things better I have got to speak to Norman and we have got to try and get people in that might be able to do things better…

Vale’s performance against Plymouth in the FA Cup fell well short of the expected standard as the side struggled to a 2-2 draw.

Speaking ahead of the weekend trip to promotion hopefuls Brentford, Adams told the official Port Vale website: “We have got an important game against the league leaders Brentford on Saturday and we want to go down there nice and positive.

“We have got to do things better, and if we can’t so things better I have got to speak to Norman and we have got to try and get people in that might be able to do things better, because what I am seeing is awful.

“We have to regroup and quickly recover from the Plymouth game as best we can, work hard this week to try and put things right on the training ground as best we can and we will have to go down there in a positive frame of mind, if we don’t we will get nothing.”
